Works as advertised: Installation is a breeze with the windows installer that takes care of everything most of the time. I say most of the time because a couple of installations (out of more than 10) didn’t set the services correctly. This was mostly due to traces of previous php and apache installations but I had no problems whatsoever if it was installed on a fresh (no previous apache or php) computer. The only problem I found is that the Apache server lacked support for some foreign languages. This threw me off balance as for a while I kept trying to fix my web pages before I realized that they were fine and that the server is at fault here. Other than that, it worked like a charm. I’ve tried a few other installations but this is the only one that was actually installed correctly out of the box. Recommended.

I have search for days looking for an easy to install, easy to use software package for developing and testing websites on my local Windows XP environment. This one certainly did the job. Its easy, and most of all it works!

I have installed the package w/o any errors. However, the kit is confused between Apache and Apache2 (creates directory Apache but looks/expects Apache2. That is Win2K. As a result couldn't start/stop services correctly and the FoxServ Caontrol Panel didn't do much. I'll post a bug report to the SourceForge page. Other than this, all packages seems like got where they should. MySQL, PHP and Apache I have even tested. Needs a bit of TLC but it's a good package. Good job!

I am new to web development and I took the option of using foxserve on an xp pro machine. After two weeks of installing and de-installing and re-installing, I have to give up, when the software worked I had password problems. When I managed to gain access to the users page I could not create a new database. I want to develop a web site without having to learn every script language under the sun. Sorry FoxServe I dont have the time to play with you.

As i have to admit, at first i dont really give much thought into this program, but after awhile, i gave it a shot and guess what?, this program does makes web server installation and configuration simple. dont take my word for it, try it for yourself, brilliant!

I, as a complete beginner to php, was having having trouble getting PHP configured to work on my PC. I was refered to Foxerv by someone at the Devshed forums. I downloaded it, and presto! PHP was working on my machine in 5 minutes, as well as MySql and PhpMyAdmin and the Apache server. I could not have been more pleased. I have not found anything wrong with the PHP part of FoxServ, but I do not know about MySql and PhpMyAdmin because I have not used them yet. I would recommend FoxServ to anyone who is having trouble getting PHP working on their PC, and needs someone( the FoxServ software!) to do it for them. Great for a someone who wants MySql and PhpMyAdmin installed for them, too. All hail to a great innovation!
