GenieGate Membership protection software
Version 2.5 - bugfix during setup. GenieGate provides flexible user management and password protection with a simple "stay out of your way" control panel and user screens. Features include multiple access areas, IP (password sharing) protection, works with Apache and PayPal. Can use either .htaccess, ApacheDBM, or PHP based authentication. Customizable user properties can store many user preferences, exports vCards, XML, tab and Apache. Imports XML, provides an API for customization and an optional command line interface. All the html can be customized. GenieGate is slightly different, it provides a simple, solid MVC framework you can build other web applications on. If you're designing a forum, classified ad script or other custom in house software package that needs user management, give GenieGate a try! it was designed from the very beginning to be modified.

It took awhile to understand everything, but this membership script is extremely versatile. You can limit different IPs within a 24-hour period, get thoroughly inside the code and easily customize log-in and access pages, assign groups to different users, password protect even parts of pages.
