Goldpaint is a complete e-commerce solution. This is not a set of perl scripts but a complete shopping system that requires no cgi programming to operate. It is a user friendly system that uses Html Tags to program catalog pages. Goldpaint has a unique online browser based utility to manage your mall or shop. This utility allows to to edit shop pages and databases, configure taxes, shipping, payments etc. Interface your shopping system to your favorite database and generate your website on the fly using our database access. Most database formats support, text, odbc, sequel server, tab delimited text files etc.

    I purchased Goldpaint 3.x over a year ago for a client who wanted ecommerce services. This is not one for the light hearted and does require you to head through a learning curve. Installation can be rather tricky but once things are ironed out you'll find it a very smooth and enjoyable programming experience. Goldpaint offers a fully fledged shopping cart with all the trimmings straight out of the box. It also acts as an excellent application server which gives you a multitude of tags to work with that compliment HTML. I have completed many custom applications and fnd the TAME language a pleasure to work with The good points: Browser Based Instalation & Admin Good Programming Flexability Variable payment options & SSL facilities The bad points: Documentation is rather unorganised and outdated Does not support virtual SSL domains No real programming community or support base For a shopping system goldpaint excels however for the imaginative designer wishing to create custom apps then its one application server that you will have to conquer yourself
