Javascript Email Validator

Good general purpose email validation. Supports notion of "required" or "optional" for the field. Well commented and documented, so it is easy to understand and modify. Does not use Regular Expressions, like most of the other free email validators do. Self contained in a .js file, no need to cut-and-paste function into each page.
