  • Everything seemed to be going along fine until it came time to actually launch the calendar and configure. Following the directions exactly, when it came time to load the calendar for the first time, all I got was a blank screen. Pitiful.

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend

  • I went looking for a calendar written in PHP I could install on my web server several months before finding LuxCal. The only calendar I found which would do what I needed was $25, and came obfuscated forcing the user to install a decoder and un-obfuscator program on their site, adding a layer of complexity which was, quite honestly, a mess. LuxSoft won't even ACCEPT donations, though some have donated to worthy causes in the name of LuxSoft. Per the license you are free to view and/or change the script to suit your needs. Heck, LuxSoft will even help you out to some degree. I had initially breezed past LuxCal because it did't allow the user to change/delete single events in a series, but LuxSoft listened to their users and added this ability. LuxSoft does a GREAT job integrating solutions and fixing the few bugs users run across. Try out this full featured calendar - you'll be impressed.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • Easy to install (RTFM first :) ), easy to use, absolutely easy to upgrade, very useful. You get support for any problem fast (thanks Roel), and more important it's totaly free! Use it for several months without any problem.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • I was looking for a joomla component calander, but couldn´t really find an aprpriate one. I finally found this script and it is simply what I needed. Very easy and smooth installation, setup easier than the ABC ... cannot fault it at all! highly recommended!!!

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • The install was EASY. However, the execution needs some help. Unless I missed something, the View links are messed up. When I view the year, great. If I view anything else, it's like it's off. Example. View month, I think I'm getting the weekly view with the month view selection bar at the top. So unless I want to view the first week of the months the system selects, I cannot view the week I want. If I select week view, I get a day view...etc....

Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend
