  This is really nicely done groupware and is loaded with features. It is a large script, however, and will drive the most patient to distraction without a good DSL or better link. Two calendar modules is perhaps one too many, and the bells and whistles on the webmail module really slow it down. For intranet use, it's hard to beat, but I don't recommend it for dial-ups.

  As far as PHP goes, as it pertains to groupware... this is the best program i've found. While it is still very much in development, it is well structured and has much to offer in advanced features compared to it's more well known competitors. It is also organized into individual modules of which you can add you own. As far a groupware goes, it still has a ways to go. The main benefit of chosing this program over another well established and tested program would be that it is open source and fairly well documented and if you're keen on everything php. This is an excellent program and a testiment to php. Try it yourself.

  After trying two other groupware solutions (both php/mysql), I tried moregroupware. WOW. I was pleasantly surprised to see what I regard as an awesome interface. Installation went smooth as hell. So far it is operating as planned. I highly recommend this one!

  Although it lacks a lot of necessary as well as advanced options and features necessary to make it a full-fledged groupware, moregroupware surely has some bells and whistles... Its interface is neat, relaxing and uncluttered unlike other groupware since it uses a template engine, and surely has the potential to match with other feature rich software once it adopts the necessary tools. Some of the cons: You need to set your ftp program to ASCII default, or else you will risk transfering some unique filenames the package uses for its template engine. The software uses Smarty template engine: this is something you must check with your administrator..if smarty is installed on ur server. Possible improvements like group permissions are promised.. the activity on the package is quite ok comparatively and we should be expecting a newer version soon... meanwhile, you should download and check it out... if only for its interface.
