Nice URL

NiceURL allows you to run a website that provides an exceptional URL redirect service. There are many companies that offer low-cost webhosting to small businesses and individual users. For the most part, however, the URLs they provide customers with are long and unsightly. For example: http://providername.com/m embers/'user/index.html. Needless to say, such a URL is difficult to remember and looks very unprofessional. With the simple, lightning-quick redirection of NiceURL, someone wishing to visit the above example would be able to enter http://run.to/user (where "user" would be any word they like, something that best describes their site) and be taken instantly to the original site. The old URL will still work, the host and files will all be the same still-- it will just be much cleaner and easier to get there. This is not your run-of-the-mill script. This script uses MySQL databases for reliability and runs as high speed perl. Setup is as simple as we could make it considering the functions of this program. However a decent knowledge of apache webservers and CGI installation is recommended. we do have people who can install it for you if need be.
