  • This script insists that you call your database "petitionscript" and nothing else. Unfortunately, that is not possible on most shared hosting accounts, as cPanel automatically attaches your account username as a prefix to your database name. This renders the script useless to a lot of users, as there is no way for them to create that exact database name. That aside, forcing all petitions that run on this script to use the same database name is not the most security-wise thing to do.

  • I would like to respond that this is likely a user who failed to fully read the documentation. On Page 4 in STEP 4 the manual states... $database_petitionscript = petitionscript ; <-- LEAVE THIS ALONE unless... you want to host multiple petitions on the same server, then change this name and create a blank database on your MySQL server to match this name
