Support for this product is none existant. The latest updates dont have upgrade instructions and the whole feel is generally "cant be bothered" although the script works quite well it is let down by an admin area that you have to protect yourself [i forgot and got hacked] and im not sure the cheat protection works too well.

The background is solid, but there are some bugs. The setup area doesn't like a server with "magic quotes" turned on. Certain areas of the script do not display the correct banner. The readme indicates the site can be configured with css... not true. Every bit of text has a "font" tag. A few colors can be set in the admin area but not many. most of the colors and such are hard coded. This makes css changes ineffective. There are some nice features. The ad breaks are handled as an included html file giving you great control over ad breaks (Although they are limited to 2 breaks). The site review before validation is well designed and easy to use. The scrit runs fast and seems stable The setup and installation is very easy. ( for a php/sql script that is. ) A php/sql administration tool would be helpful to create a seperate database backup the data. If you are limited to one database all the tables are prefixed "top_" so it will probably not intefere with other scripts sharing a database. The script is good, but needs some debugging and polish. I haven't looked at the Pro version. I imagine it gets much more attention than the freebie version ;) (This is based on the 2.1b version released April 9, 2003)
