The PHP Web Statistik offers you a highly configurable PHP-based visitor tracking and analyzing script. It can be run with or without database connectivity. The following stat modules are available: years, months, days, weekdays, hours, referers, browsers, operating systems, last visitors, provider, country of origins ,hits ,page impressions, search engines, search phrases, visitors of the last x days, colordepth, resolution and trends. The log function works with javascript, image tags or native php code. The new version 4.3 has built-in cache modules, trends analyze of future visitors, time interval analyze and a even higher configurable administration panel.

    I use the script now for about 2 years in most of my projects. It works without database and gives you all the features you need to get a good overview about the traffic on your site. It's easy to install and maintain. If you use firefox, you need a version later than 3.

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    What is listed as PHP Web Statistik 3.x is now up to 4.0 and recently 4.1. They say the program is free yet force you to PAY FOR DOWNLOADING so it is NOT FREE! Bugs in 4.x. The panel interface is very nice and it would be a very good program it they got the bugs out. It would be nice if they supported the 3.x version, until the bugs are worked out of the 4.x. *UPDATE* What turned out to be bugs was not updating their installation instructions on the 4x which would only have taken them 30 sec to revise with any html or text editor. The updated installation is on their forum, not on the instructions included with the ZIP. As I mentioned before this program is NOT FREE!

    Very easy to install and get working. Not the most attractive interface - but it gets the job done and shows all the necessary stats.

    I tried this amazing script of the nice guys from Germany. Its easy to install and gives you incredible configuration functions. Never saw an easier one. And the stats are really nice. What do I need else ?

    This script allows users to monitor every aspect of their visitors hardware configuration, which is very usefull if you want to optimize your web pages for certain browsers or screen resolutions (10% still uses 800x600 on their monitors). It also allows you to set a cookie such that own visits are not included (click the red light bulb). Very nice feature! I enjoy this script more than anything, and recommend it deeply. It is fairly easy to install, just edit a few variables in the config file.
