  • Previously was all I used for the web and wanted an easy way to php... I was expecting to use this just as a learning tool for a db website and found it's actually able to do that and everything else I planned so far. Being able to integrate my own php code at the few key points is ideal and is just incredibly simple to use. 'Amazing' just doesn't do it justice... it's a heafty price tag but worth every penny so far. Only downside is I wish there was more of a community around it to share scripts and did OAuth integration (it does facebook but would like google, twitter & linkedin). Also would be good if it was easier to add a 'custom page' that wasn't db dependent but does seem possible via just writing a php file for that part. Generally though I've been blown away by how good this is.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • This software has a simple interface but generates robust applications. For developers beginners like me, its assistant is very comfortable. And once you start to learn more about the software, very interesting developments can be done. Of course, it does not replace the knowledge of the developer; nothing can replace that knowledge, but it supports it. Furthermore, it is remarkable not only the software but also the support provided by the author of the software. In my opinion, PHPRunner is highly recommended that deserves at least be tested.

  • Nothing replaces hand coding for the experienced designer, but if you want to get your database to the web today you should look at phpRunner. I use phpRunner as a "proof of concept" and a building block, but it is full featured enough and robust enough to stand on its own merits. You can go from the idea to a fully functional web intergrated database application so fast your clients will think you walk on water!

  • The short review - This product should cost $20 at most, and be used only by non-WebDevelopers that need a quick and dirty application. If you're a web-developer, there are many other better and cheaper solutions out there. You really should look elsewhere for web accessible database solutions using PHP.

  • After using an earlier version of PHPrunner I am very pleased with it. In both it's earlier incarnation and with the small but effective enhancements made in version 2 I feel it is a very good program for the beginner (which I am) and also for the more experienced user who wishes to create a PHP script for testing quickly. For it's interaction with MySQL, which is what I primarily use if for I find it ideal for my needs and level of knowledge. It comes with a good help-guide and online tutorial also. Recommended.
