pMachine is publishing software which you can use to create everything from a simple weblog to a multi-layered interactive news site. The latest version delivers over 40 new features and enhancements. Some of the features include a discussion forum module, XML parser, member registration, post office, dynamic content generation, search engine, event calendar, and much more. Version 2.0 is now available in two distributions: pMachine Free, a limited feature free version and pMachine Pro, the full-featured version, available in both non-commercial and commercial licenses.

    I don't know why this is way over the bottom though I find the script very useful. I was testing it offline and I find it easy to install and tweak. Also, if you view the scripts, you will find several comments so that developers will also understand how to easily tweak it. Rick also made a very helpful manual at his website. The manual explains pMachine in every single detail. Other things I like about it is the interface. The admin interface is well-designed. I guess that is why I really got hooked-up with this program. Rick also made it possible for us to use PHP functions and include individual components such as archives or calendars in our website. However, since I'm entitled to a free version, I wasn't able to use the multiple weblogging and forum feature. With that is my dismay. :( The latest version as of this review is 2.2.
