    I got vbulletin for my site to add a forum and my traffic is SURGING. Much bettr than phpBb and all that other junk

    Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

    vBulletin is terrible software. Period. First off, the installation progress is slow and laggy, mainly because of its horrible way of connecting to the SQL database. I had to go through fifteen steps of vBulletin adding things to the database when it could've been done in three. Then, when I had my board set up... I gagged. This was perhaps the worst way for the Administration Center to be layed out. Skinning was a pain, configuring the board was a pain... I simply didn't like it... no, I HATED it. For those who don't want slow and badly-programmed software, don't buy vBulletin. It is a waste of both your money and your time.

    No BB is exactly right just as it comes "out of the box", and trying to get help with the customization of vBulletin soon started to show the attitude of the vBulletin suport staff. Anyone not familier with programming and their lingo doesn't have much of a chance to communicate with them in an intelligent, mature and rational manor. To be sure, you need to hire a programmer to be able to talk to them. To their credit, the installation went without major problems and the BB's functionality is very good. If only their support staff didn't have that typical "me is THE programmer" attitude.

    Excellent script for the price. Loads of features in the admin CP. The features in this software make it miles appart from rivals.
