Viscacha is a free bulletin board system with an integrated content management system. The intention of the software engineers is to combine the current standards with new and user friendly features. The system supports plugins and components for easily extending the core system. Viscacha uses an database abstraction layer to support as many databases as possible. Currently there is only a layer for the open source database engine MySQL. With this software you can easily set up a complete (personal) homepage. The CMS perfectly extends the bulletin board system to have a homepage which is connected to the community.

    Was amazed to see the functionality and speed of this script. Just needs a few more designs, seo, language, bigger international community and more mods and it should be ready to take on the big guys !! Bravo guys, keep it going.

    This is a really good cms, with great features and a powerful administration. It´s not very known yet, but it is worth to give it a try. Perhaps the only thing that can be missed in Viscacha is a bigger international community.
