I am using from many years , service is nice, but they are very busy people and they do not help in customization, Truly speaking I asked many times but They say they dont have time for it, Documentation is Lacking! If they provide documentation that how a buyer who is not having technical geek, can build a new website by using their script, It will be best, I am unable to understand how we can have different member types, I advise that they must build a very detailed handbook manual for all those who buy their script! over all 4 star out of 5.

Have this script for several years but recently due to being spammed heavily had to close the site. Further investigation showed that the inbuilt antispam was not working anymore due to the fact that a third party IP site had changed their working policy and the script could no longer update it's banned IP list for free. Using VLD's claim of "lifetime support" thought I would ask for the new website link being used to upload the IP tables. Vlad's answer - "update the software and it should fix your problem" ! That's what they claim to be lifetime support...in other words pay more money. All I am asking for is a website link, just a little support. The guy talks as if I want a complete free version upgrade - madness, wouldn't waste your money if I where you.

I bought this script in 2011, with the name vldpersonals and paid $199. I also bought a template for additional $$. I don't remember when but they begun to suggest to migrate to the new version named datingscript. But I continued using the older version because the upgrade has to be paid (you have to renew your Commercial License renewal). In april of this year my site became under attack with thousands of visits and registrations. In a matter of two or three days I received over 20,000 new fake registrations and forced my host provider to shut the site down. The hosting company said "After reviewing your account I determined that the significant amount of traffic to the site xxxx.com was what caused the resource usage notice to be sent out. The site had several thousand hits, mostly to the '/account/login/', '/account/home/', '/index.php?m=account_register', and '/index.php?m=account_register' pages. It appears that a botnet has been targeting the site and trying to generate registrations (most likely to post spam.). I recommend implementing a stronger CAPTCHA and caching for the vldPersonals site that is running on this domain. " 24 hours later my hosting account was suspended and put al my sites off line. I don't know what to think, but that was an awful situation that put me out of business. I am looking for a new script to migrate my users. The vldpersonals script was good but obviously not safe. I wanted to share my experience with this product and company. I was using skadate before I found vldPersonals and when I reached 5 thousand users my site has become extremely slow and unresponsive. Since I couldn't get any support from skadate, I started looking for an alternative and luckily found vldPersonals. Their support is amazing. They answered all of my questions and helped me transfer all of my users. Their product has a lot of offer and is blazing fast. Now I'm running a site with over 70 thousand users without a hitch! I can't praise this package highly enough. It came with many features and was well structured code so that i was able to write my own modifications to get my sites exactly as I wanted them. Only sometimes the documentation could be better, but its all there for you to read prior to purchase. The support forum makes up for any documentation issues(if you have any). Any CMS will use more server resources than software written specificaly for one site but vld seems pretty lean compared to others I have used. My current server handles 500+ users online at anyone time.
