This has been the best wysiswyg editor I have every used, very easy to implement and it comes with file uploading for images which is a great feature for articles and news. It allows you to add images and choose images from existing content...fantastic
The other thing I really like is the add links to your article from existing content with $editor->links = array this is a fantastic feature.

Everything from the intuitive layout to the HUGE set of features to their fast and helpful support makes wysiwygpro a great tool. It's not often that we value something so much that we will take time out from our hectic work day to leave positive feedback but in this case we make a point to do so. Thanks again!
Probably the best WYSIWYG editor for Joomla: well done wysiwygPro!

After testing an earlier version of wysiwygPro out some years ago, I've found this editor to be fantastic for Joomla-powered websites. Now, I install it on most websites I build for others too. Why? The editor is crucial to folks who may not be "techies", so this way, my customers are happy and I have an easier time. Highly recommended.
Cannot agreed with the word "Best Service"

Honesty, the features are impressive. I did decide to purchase it almost at the first glance.
However, integration still require much better documentation. The provider documentation is not quite complete, missing a lot of details. If you are trying to integrate it with the existing plugins they provide, it might be OK. But if you are trying to integrate it to the others, I'd suggest to think again.
The worst about the service is complaining about the documentation is not allowed, otherwise you will get an emotional reply message from the provider.
Also, only on-line version is available. You will not be able to work if their (or yours) networks down or cannot access the internet.
Don't expect too much about the service. Especially, if you cannot tolerate to any unprofessional manner. Right now, I'm trying to get my money back, since the provider ask me to do that.
I give 4 for the features and 0 for the service.

If you're serious about layout, I can't imagine working without WYSIWYG Pro. Not only is the product far superior in every aspect to anything else I've tried. But the support is simply remarkable.
Short story: I've spent a lot of time in the "static web world" but was totally new to Joomla and open source, so was a bit thrown by the difference in the limitations of "online editing." Not only did WYSIWYG PRO address all of my concerns, but the creator spent an inordinate amount of detailed time taking this "newbie" in off the ledge...:-) He was helpful and informative in ways that I've never experienced from ANY software or hardware company - and I've been at this stuff since the 80's.
If you settle for a free editor, just because it's free, I absolutely believe it will cost you far more in the long run that the tiny investment that will pay untold dividends in both functionality and service.
It's really rare that I take the time to post like this, but for this fabulous product backed by an incredible level of customer care, it's truly the least I can do.

Pros: The WysiwygPro is an outstanding tool for those who wants more from an editor, this one is singular in many aspects: First of all, the customisation possibilities makes of this tool the best for those who what's present their clients an specific editor to mate the project's specifications and requirements. This means an unthinkable raise in workflow and stunt reduction of edition time and increase of the overall quality results. Cons: Support should have a discussion Forum to developers.

I got this (the Joomla specific version) for the college I work for and I've found not only that it does everything I expected it to and that faculty and staff here find it easy to use, but I've been very pleased to discover that the support from the developer has been quite prompt and personal. Specifically, I received help for a couple of custom hacks I needed to make to the code to meet our school's specific needs, which has helped me to keep my sanity. :-p

I have just done an integration of the core script with a php framework and I am using it from symfony sfSimpleCMS plugin. I had a bug with the filebrowser routing but the support promptly answer my support ticket and solve the problem.
Thanks to the new feature of version 3, I was able to use the authentification of my framework by configuring the route as in http://www.wysiwygpro.com /index.php?id=406. Overall I am really happy of my purchase.

WYSIWYGPro is excellent for editing in Joomla. I especially like he ease of switching between code view and wysiwyg view, as I enter most information by source code. I found it stable, and didn't need hacking in order to work with UTF-8 as earlier versions did.
My only complaint is that when installed, 3 modules show, 2 labeled "do not use".

I'm using WYSIWYG Pro on 4+ Joomla 1.5 sites that my company has built and maintain. It's extremely user friendly and has all the functionality one could need within a text editor.
My only complaint is we have encountered one bug that we have logged: when linking text within the article to a Joomla menu, the tool isn't displaying all the Joomla menus that have been configured. The work around is to just type the page URL directly but it would be nice if it worked consistently.

My wife has been struggeling with the wordpress and Joomla nuild in and free editors for a while until I got sick of her "that does not work, why is that not centered now" input...
So, with the money back guarantee, I decided to go for the wysiwyg editor and it works flawless. Integration in both Joomla and wordpress (both latest versions 08/2008) was easy. The only thing I miss is a clickable thumbnail integration. Integrates pictures perfectly fine but not with popups like e.g. lightbox.

I have used several free products on a couple of sites I developed. While I could navigate their occassional quirckyness, I needed a text editor that anyone could use, as the content submitter for one sight needed something simple and accurate, without having to learn a new software. WYSIWYGPro is just whet I needed and is heads above any of the free products. Well worth the cost for my paying customers.

There are a number of shortcomings that make me regret buying this script to use with Drupal. Firstly, it does not work consistently in Firefox - often the fields to enter data are unusable and I need to use IE to enter anything. Secondly, it does not have the ability to upload/add images and remove them. I would only buy or use this script again as a last resort.
Session Headers Are A Nightmare

The latest release of the wysiwygPro editor seems to remind me of pretty much anything that at once was good.
It doesn't work anymore with pre-built scripts that already modify the header at the time of form submission. The support to fix this is non existent in turn doesn't really serve as an upgrade.
Unless you consider and upgrade, something that functions less.

We've tried a ton of these, from the several open source ones to commercial ones and they all had something that couldn't be overcome. Our biggest problem was the code that some of these things kicked out was just not up to par and many non-standard, even when they claimed to be. This product offers a robust API on an already incredibly solid platform to begin with. There are a ton of these out there, and this one is the best I've seen and is reasonably priced to boot. Highly Recommended.

The recent release, version 3.02 at the time of this writing, is much improved upon over version 2. I specifically use the application within Joomla and can say this version is a long time coming and glad to have it. Version 2 was way better than Joomla's default editor, but now version 3 is even easier.

I've tested many editors for Joomla CMS but nothing compares to WysiwygPro 3.0.1!!
Yes, .1 is a huge update to the core feature list which includes relative links within Joomla. The editor has great versatility and preforms all the standard function needed for simple content management, or advanced scripting..
3.0.1 is a version we have all waited along time for and i'm proud to say that the WysiwygPro team has really come through with this release.
Congratulations on a great product!

I have a Mac (latest and biggest) and use Firefox. WYSIWYGPro works very well. It is just like using MS Word and doing it well. Good value for money.
This is not true for Safari as WYSIWYGPro will not work at all, just this silly message, “This editor requires Internet Explorer 5.0+, Netscape 7.1+, Mozilla 1.4+, or an equivalent Gecko based browser. A regular textarea will be displayed instead.”
Could this be fixed soon?

I have been using WysiwygPro on the development of my Joomla! site, as I was frustrated that the structure of Joomla! was forcing my own brochure-site into looking more like a web portal. I have broken out of this mould with the help of WysiwygPro by being able to integrate XHTML seamlessly into my content items. This gives me the flexibility and functionality of the CMS, but the appearance and code of a custom built site. Oh yeah, and it is a third of the price of the next best option!

It's not very common of me to buy any kind of software from the internet; I usually do the things I need by my own.
But this product fulfilled all my needs, at a very fair price.
The team seems to be very professional, and the component is very well written and documented.
There's also a special care in order to keep you updated with what's happening with the product development, and to answer your questions.
I liked it; if I needed so, I'd buy it again.

Excellent script! It had all the desired functionality for my site where I am using WordPress as the CMS. (I am using the WordPress Plugin for the editor.) Tables, images, alignment, and everything else, all right on the toolbar. And the code is valid XHTML. It was really easy to install, and simple to configure through options right in WP. No need to edit config files or anything like that, the plugin just worked. By the way, I got great technical support. Worth the price for the plugin!!

Product works fairly well. However, service is worst I have ever seen. Does not reply to emails at all. Visits forum only occassionally and removes your post without notice. Dear donbwalker,
We’ve had a number of problems with our server over last month or so and had to switch servers several times. As a result of these issues a number of emails did not reach us. We now have the problem resolved. We sincerely apologise for the experience you have had with us. We value our business integrity very highly, and we don't want to let a technical problem like this detract from our otherwise excellent history of providing superior products and services. Excellent solution for adding WYSIWYG text editing for a content manager. The paste from Word function is especially helpful. Very easy to customize and very easy to get up and running. Adequate documentation and support forums. Better price to functionality ratio than similar products. Only downside is that it's somewhat limited on browser support. Most notably does not support Safari for MacOS X. Solid support for IE on Windows and Mozilla/Firefox on both Windows and OS X.
