the support sucks like hell

It started out looking good but there are fundamental bugs in basic operation(e.g. can not change the admin password so wide open to hackers). Stuff that really should have been spotted in pre release testing. The support people told me to edit files that don;t exist and they have gone very quiet and unresponsive about refunding the license fee. Take my advice and avoid this dreadful software and dreadful company.

Decent software, basically a website skimmer that parses whatever description and meta tags are on a webpage into a links directory. But save your money, before you know it, the support you believe you purchased and FREE upgrades to future versions will disappear. Support is horrible, forum assistance is rendered useless for novices by developer cheerleaders, and if you have a complaint the support staff will play word games to save face. Will never buy software from NiceCoder.com, ever again

I bought the software a few days ago. I had big problems running the software wiht unicode. There are not much documentation available. The language support for german language is just available for one template. The template have a lot of errors in. The forum is not good organiced and it is sometimes impossible the find a solutin for a easy problem. Save your money and buy another product.

We noticed that the homepage of nicecoder.com for IndexU had copied text word for word from phpMyDirectory.com. When confronted about it no response was returned.

Hello, It's really a wonderful good working script BUT: I purchased a new one and i need a unlock key for it. I have the payment details, send some tickets to them but i get NO ANSWER !!! Chris

I can highly recommend this script to anyone. If you read the reviews on it then you will see many people are upset by the support and not the actual directory. I have been an active member on the forums the last 12 months and i have noticed a big improvment, i just hope that continues because IndexU can become one of the best directory scripts available if the developers keep up the improvments the have made over this year.

The script works as advertised in fact it works very well. My only problem so far is the support or the lack of it. It takes weeks to get an answer to a support ticket if at all. Posting in their forums may bring an answer from another frustrated customer, but never from the developers. Check out their forums and you will see the complaints about support. This script is expensive compared to others so the support should be there. I would not buy from them again even for a script this good.

Although the product works (there are some bugs) - support is non-existant. Any potential purchaser would be wise to read through the support forums prior to buying this product.

The product works, but the addons he sells with them really do not. I entered a help desk ticket a week ago and not even a canned response came back. Tried the support forums and no response their either. The support forums are littered with people complaining about the lack of any support what-so-ever. I should have read before I spent the money to buy. The PRLoader software returns a fatal error even on a clean install on two seperate servers. All requests for help have gone unanswered.

This product works ok without any customization however support from the webmaster/s is virtually non existent, you are forced to sniff around in the forum to find to find answers. I have been unable to post a question in the forum now for around 3 months as my user ID for this feature has not yet been validated, i have simply stopped sending mails in anymore ( usually 2 per week ) asking somebody to enable my account for the forum. This has left me in an extremely frustrating position. The only chance of upgrades is to pay other members who have had special dispensation from the creators of nicecoder to resell their software and charge more on top for extra features. My opinion, search hard to find another links program. I know this sounds bitter but potential customers need to know what to expect before splashing out money for a long list of issues with no follow up support.

So far this was the only time I spent money on a script, and haven't regreted it for one moment. It installs like a breeze, has a flexible template system and tons of options. I've tried most of the index scripts here, and this is the only one so far that comes close to what I want.

I have been using Indexu for almost three months now. It has been a great script for me. It beats all other scripts that I found specially with this great price. New version has been released and you basically can do any thing with the look and feel of your directory. It is easy to install and use.

I have been looking for a while at the indexing scripts and this one has most of what I have been looking for! Easy to install template driven, editors picks, nice admin interface, link owners can modify their link etc... Still creating categories so cannot show the site. Stubbers www.photo-ads.co.uk
NiceCoder have now a new support team because the Company : Milton WorldWide Media just buy on sitepoint the NiceCoder team and take new workers & policy ! When you post this review (3 year ago) the script was a "baby", now the situation change !
