Reviewed by Anonymous on Nov 11th, 2011firstly the script price is wrong it's higher than $99. also the support is non existant and i cannot get hold of aaron. i am curious about the other reviews here as they seem to suggest he's great but i cannot get replies to support requests,. it also seems that some reviews here are suspciious as one person claims that they have been a customer for several years yet aaron has only been in business for one year according to him. i am disappointed and have asked for a refund as the software is not as promised but am not confident of getting it. also there is no mention of many of the features that he has on his site. i want to buy another better script even if it's more expensive this is useless to me.

Reviewed by on Apr 20th, 2011I purchased the script frpm Aaron and had him install it (2 copies). Not only does the script work great, but he answers all questions whether on the phone or by email. I never had any major problems and just a few small glitches which he cleared up in a very timely manner. If you want penny auction software at a VERY reasonable price and customer service second to none, I would go here. I just wish he had a regular auction script as well that I could purchase.

Reviewed by on Feb 16th, 2011Well... what can I say. I purchased the 2.0 version of the script the day it came out. I did not use paypal went straight to a merchant account to complicate things. From day one, there were some bugs definitely but they were mostly addressed and fixed quickly. The service from Aaron at the price of the script is second to none! I think that is the major selling point honestly. We have delivered traffic to our penny auction since day 2, we are not dabbling in it at all and our site gets hammered and shows it. During peak hours we can average 700-800 people watching our big auctions with 40-50 bidding. Does the script handle it, yes, are there problems, of course we sit on pins and needles on $1000 items praying that things run smoothly as 800 people watch that timer. I am currently running a level 9 VPS from hostgator, it is a stought VPS but we really need a dedicated server, quad core at least and much more ram, lets just say we are cheating right now running on a small server with the traffic we get. So let's lay out pros and cons... Pros: Affordable Works Has a lot of features the other alternatives nickle and dime you for Very good support from a real person Cons: Meh, let's just say 99.9% of start up penny auctions fail so does it matter, this is the best script you can get for under 1k. Ok, the clock has some issues, run your auctions on a hard clock reset and not time added, or you will regret it. BID BONUS FOR REFERRALS NEED TO BE BASED ON BID PACK PURCHASE NOT REGISTRATION!!!!!!!! PLEASE WE NEED THIS!!!!!!!!!! Overall, the script works, is affordable, support is good, and the business is entertaining but might give you a heart attack. My advice to people wanting to start a penny auction.... Think long and hard and have deep pockets!!! It is not easy to attract people to the site if you only auction four cheap items a day. Selling that bid pack is tough!

Reviewed by on May 8th, 2010Let me just start off by saying Aaron is amazing. This is the 3rd script I have purchased, yes I said 3rd. The first two I bought were so bad that I was going to give up. I spent 59.00 on one and it was the worst script I have ever seen. The 2nd I spent lets just say way to much on. Of course the 3rd was this one. After I called and talked to Aaron personally I had to try one more. I am so glad I did. Aaron has walked me through virtually everything and is amazing to deal with. I can customize any part of this script as long as you have just some very minor knowledge of PHP (If you know me then you know if I can do it it must be minor) he always answers my emails in a timely manner and if I have an immediate question I just give him a call, he personally picks up. Now I have never seen someone offer phone and email support for 99.00. The best part is, he is in the USA not some foreign based corporate office that tells me that they will resolve a minor issue in 72 hours. Brilliant Script, Brilliant Price, Brilliant Support!

Along the way I have had several problems because I don't know a lot of PHP and there have been a few small bugs aswell(what do you expect for less than $100??), however the support I have received from Aaron has been top notch. Every time I email him with a problem I have a reply usually in a couple of hours, but it has definitely less than 12 hours on each occasion. The script does exactly what it says on the tin and I feel that I have run into bugs and problems only because I am trying to modify the script to do things a slightly different way. To be honest it would be perfectly within Aaron's right to tell me something along the lines of 'Sorry pal, you edited the core files of the script so it's now unsupported' but he didn't every time I have received a helpful answer with steps to take to correct my problems. I first opened my first penny auction site using a script that I purchased from iCloud Center. It was the worst mistake of my online life. It did not work well at all. The buttons would not let people bid, and it was very, very slow. The next thing I did was look around for a low cost script to replace the iCloud script. I looked at about 10 scripts and was surprised that there were so many out there. I looked at a script called PHPAuctionScript, and another called AJAuctionScript. I made up my mind to buy the PHPAuctionScript, so when I tried a google search to try to find their site again I stumbled across Ajax PHP Auction Script I gave it a good looking at and ended up buying it. I am now making money with it, it is working great, It looks good, and the small problem that I had with setup was taken care of in less then a day, plus they did extra work for free. The old company wouldn't even talk to me without me paying an extra $200 support charge. The script that I got from Ajax PHP Auction is full of almost every extra that a penny auction script can have, and they work. My members are happy, I'm happy, my bank is happy. I don't want to sound to much like a cheerleader, but I can't say to much good about this script or the company. The only down side at al is that I wished that they had more templates for more varied looks.

I purchased this script from aaron back in april, this is by far the best bang for the buck!! The script is very well put together with little bugs that have to be fixed but Aaron provides excellent service in assisting with any issues, usually responds within an hour of contacting him! I would recommend this to anyone who is trying to start up their own penny auction.

I shopped around for a long time looking for someone who could provide me with a turnkey penny auction site. Most of my findings were non-US based companies, which I was not interested in. The ones I found here in the US left me a little uneasy as they would take several days to respond to even general inquiries. What if I was a client and needed help with my site? OK. I have been running a site based on this script for a year now. There has been some glitches in the beginning but after working with Aaron on fixing it site works better than any other 1000 dollars script out there. This is a pretty simple script and that is why it works so well. There is no million addons which slow the script down. It is not built on cake model, which makes it pretty efficient. As of right now, I am running a site with 10000+ registered users with average 7000+ unique visits a day site works like a clockwork. Great job Aaron. We purchase Aaron's script after abandoning another script from PAS which cost 10 times what Aaron's cost. Installation is straight forward but we ran into a server problem that we were unable to solve and Aaron dealt with it on a Sunday. When we still had problems Aaron suggested having the server re-provisioned and he would do the install. The script runs flawlessly. After sale service is the best. Aaron goes way above and beyond what is expected to ensure his clients are satisfied.

I never would have thought that I would get the amount of support that I did for the price. I can't say enough about it. The developer was able to make the script work when the server PHP setting were not correct. I highly recommend this product if only for the support that was given.

I've used several programs that I bought online in an attempt to start an internet business ( classifieds, dating, penny auction). I have always run into the same problems, bugs, bugs, bugs and poor support. I am not real program savvy and need something that will run the way it's supposed to right out of the box but was always disappointed and ultimately would loose interest in my project.. I gave it one more try purchasing this ajax penny auction script. It has by far exceeded my expectations and has great support. I wanted to make some changes in my website and not knowing how to do it I asked support for some help. They responded quickly and free of charge guided me through the changes. One change led to many and each time they responded to my questions in a matter of minutes in most cases. The penny auction is awesome and does everything that it's touted to do. My other projects all went in the trash heap. I think your program and support is head and shoulders above any of the others I've tried. Thanks for all the help Jim Coney

This script was easy to install and get running quickly! The instructions are well defined, the interface is intuitive, has great features, and is easy to edit. Support is personal and prompt when you need it. Anyone with a little PHP and CSS knowledge can easily change its behavior. I've just started editing the CSS and tweeking it to my liking, but check out at http://BizzyBidn.com. I should be done editing within a week ( editing when I have time, not that it will take a week LOL) You can not get better for the price! I can write this stuff, but this is so much quicker than hand coding. Or fixing somebody else's major screw up! That's the reason I bought AJAX PHP PennyAuction!
