This tut (along with Part 2 which should have been combined for comfort) presents a basic introduction to PHP forms, if/then logic, and file open/write/close. It's written friendly, clear nd accurate way.
This is simple stuff, but it's where the beginner wants to put his foot when he starts on the road to PHP skills.
