I just completed implementing Squirrelcart for the first time. The product has a lot of flexibility and is easy to implement and configure. Best of all is the support from the folks at Squirrelcart, they respond with answers and fixes within hours. They have also been receptive to changes and enhancements to their cart, often responding in hours with the changes as requested. Their quick response to my requests has significantly cut my development time! Thanks, Jamie! Unbelievable!! I'll never use any other cart!

This is one of the best store programs that we could find, the price was an added attraction.
It is customizable, able to handle large quanitities of products and support several payment protocols.
Their support is pretty good.
We're very happy with the decision to go with this store program.

This cart is top notch and excellent value! It is easy to customize and has manny options. The support is excellent and the developers are very knowledgable and helpful.
I have no regrets on making this our choice for our shopping cart!

The main problem is getting support for this cart. There is no phone support and getting email support is like pulling teeth. If you are going to do any customization, you'll need it.
Several features on the card did not work. Documentation is poor as well.
I don't recommend this cart if you will be installing it for a client or have a deadline.

I found this cart to be the best I have tried. It is very easy to set-up and even easier to update products. The image editing feature is a godsend. It drastically reduced the time I spend adding images, and oh so simple. The only thing that impresses me more than the cart is the support. What few questions I have had that couldn't be answered by the friendly folks at their forum were resolved very quickly. I highly recommend it!

I had no previous experience with MySQL or Php but installing Squirrelcart was a breeze. A crash course in Php has made it quite easy to make a few changes - only a bare minimum knowledge of MySQL is necessary.
But the major plus point is the fantastic support! Every question I have asked both before and after buying Squirrelcart was promptly and expertly answered.
I highly recommend Squirrelcart and I have no doubt that it will keep getting better and better!

After using many carts over the past 10 years, I finally have found one that suits all of my needs. Squirrel Cart is one powerful script for a fraction of the price of other carts with similar features. The support has always been excellent as well! 10 thumbs up :)

I purchased the Squirrel cart last year. Users have been receiving errors when checking out. I cannot get Squirrel Cart to respond to this issue. There is no email or phone support, just tickets, which aren’t answered. Support was very slow at first. It’s now non-existent. I do not recommend purchasing this cart if you’re not a PHP expert.

Our support offerings can be found by visiting our site and clicking the support link in the left navigation. We do not provide phone or email support, as there is no way to properly track and queue these types of requests. We do offer top notch support via our helpdesk for 90 days with purchase, and unlimited access to our community forums. I can't comment on this particular review as I don't have the customer's details, but I can say that no ticket ever goes unanswered.

The Squirrelcart product has been working well for us for the past two years. Our site and business has grown tremendously and we are grateful to be able to sell our products online. The Squirrelcart interface is easy to use and the developers are happy to help with customization at very reasonable fees. If you are a small to medium sized business in need of an e-commerce solution, you should consider Squirrelcart.

This is a very unstable program. it has allot of features and is nice when it works. You open one day and your pages appear as nothing but garbled text. Service is rather slow as well. I have installed allot of carts in my day and this one has more problems than any I have seen or worked with. last time I asked for support they would not help me because my client removed their logo. As a developer, I can not recomend that you purchase this program.

The problem reported here is not with our software, but due to FrontPage extensions adding folders to the directory structure. Squirrelcart now ignores these foreign folders. A workaround was available in our forums approximately 24hrs after this issue was reported.
Our license agreement indicates that our copyright notice and small logo (137x23 pixels) must remain in the control panel only. If removed, a customer is asked politely to restore them before support is provided.

When your Shopping Cart is Down you are losing money. It should not take Days to respond to a Tech Support Request. And when you do get a response you do not appreciate Sarcasm... They tell me they dropped the Priorty request option because of abuse.. That just tells me they have tons of other people with problems. A lot of promises.... most are not true

This customer received an average initial response time of 17 hrs for all tickets to date, most of which were opened after 5pm EST. We do not allow customers to prioritize their support requests, because all requests are important, and are answered in the order received. Our support options are explained in detail on our support page.

I would like to say that I have had nothing but GREAT support from the SquirelCart team. I bought the cart a year ago and had it installed and running in minutes, not hours. It is easy to navigate and has numerous options available. I was up and running in no time. I had the SquirelCart team customize my site and they did an awesome job. . Any problems encountered, and there were only a couple, were handled immediately and professionally. Easy to use, great features, easy setup, GREAT SUPPORT!

I have tried a few other ecom packages in the past. Many of them had similar feature to SC, but were all 3 to 4 times the SC price. The SC basic edition only about $100 and well worth it.
I also run a Linux box and have had no support problems to speak of. I do agree with some that the 'ticket system' is slow. But I would rather have the tech directly respond in a few hours, than have to call phone support and deal with 'off shore'staff for 30 minutes before I actually got help.

I recently implemented this cart and while it has some nice features at a good price, it also has some substantial problems. The first is support. Difficult to get a response. The second is it's buggy. I found areas of the code that don't work and because of #1, you can't get a timely response or fix. Third, it's difficult to customize because of an unholy mix of PHP, HTML, inline style definitions and CSS. This is like the worst of open source combined with the worst of licensed software.

We've been running Squirrelcart for 5 months now with no major problems. Setup was easy with the included instructions. I appreciate the very active user forums, it's most helpful when making heavy modifications to the cart. We already have another site in the works! Our new online ordering system for individual clients is a great addition service to our many product offerings. My company couldn't be more happy. Thank you to the Lighthouse Dev. team.

I recently installed SquirrelCart on a customer's site and found it to be very user friendly, well documented and easy to setup and modify. We evaluated a lot of shopping carts before settling on this one; one of the deciding points was the quick response to our pre-sales questions. After installation, we had some unusual circumstances arise; the SquirrelCart support team bent over backwards to help us quickly, efficiently and cheerfully. They couldn't have been better.

I am speaking for myself and for my clients when I say that we highly recommend Squirrel Cart for your e-commerce needs. All of my hosting clients who choose to use the cart are very happy with it. They all say it is easy to use. That is the important thing. Did I mention the support from Squirrel Cart is THE BEST I have found since I have been in business (1995). They always respond quickly and always have a solution. It is like going back to the old days when service and support was top notch.

I am a web master and have 2 clients currently using this cart. I am one of those clients and I absolutely love this cart and would recommend it to any of my clients.
Support is great and the features are the best around. If your looking for a full featured cart at a great price ... look no further!!
