great flexible alternative to Jive, Apr 8, 2003 Reviewed By: hsUser50
Review Of: mvnForum in Java :: JSP and Servlets :: Discussion Boards
I was looking for a good message board that was free and open source. Jive is the most well known, but it is NOT free. It is ridiculously epensive. I stumbled upon mvnForum and I found it to be well written adn felxible. It has all the standard message board features like post preview, filters([b,[i] etc), and in upcoming versions is expected to support searching, file attachments and thread watching capability. All exciting features! Best of all it is open source! So you can tinker away with the source code to meet your needs. And of course there is the support forum in case you run into problems. It also supports j2ee security model, so the forum can be integrated with existing j2ee compliant apps!

Excelent forum, Apr 15, 2003 Reviewed By: CEO123

This is the best JSP forum I've seen. I have tried it when i found it here and i do not want to try any more forum.
