Amazon associate webstore (Amazon Webstore)   Hits: 7222

Amazon Webstore creates an international shopping environment for Amazon associates that interfaces with Amazon's vast database of products through Amazon's XML products information feed - you don't need to store pictures and product details on your website! It comes equipped with numerous facilities, including a virtual shopping cart and a very extensive administration tool where you can add, edit and delete products/categories, write reviews, feature items, see how popular your store is and much more.

Slick and easy to use!, Sep 20, 2004 Reviewed By: ronkoch2
Review Of: Amazon associate webstore (Amazon Webstore) in PHP :: E-Commerce :: Shopping Carts
The Amazon Webstore is very easy to install and setup, even for a novice user. It requires very little or no knowledge of PHP to get the site up and running. I used the Amazon Webstore to replace some custom code that I had been using for several years -- it's just easier to maintain and hassle free. The system even tells you when there are upgrades available! My only wish is that the code ran a little faster. It can be a bit sluggish running searches and displaying results. I haven't done enough digging, so it may be just the Amazon API operating slowly.

Not allowed to change the Amazon Token!!, Jan 19, 2005 Reviewed By: stuartc1

Hi, What is the point of offering a Amazon API script to others if they are not allowed to change the affiliate token? In other words everyone who uses this and makes sales passes 100% of commission onto the author!! What a ripoff. Here is the test taken from the Terms and Conditions: 'You may NOT alter any of the scripts (apart from templates) or documentation - In particular, references to the author, links to his website, his associate tokens etc. must remain intact.' Very poor, I would not go near this with a barge pole.
