jClientUpload (Upload FTP/HTTP Applet) 1.9.1 in Java :: Applets :: File Management
|
Poor documentation, a sketchy installation guide and a few hours of satisfying 'requirements' accompanies a tool which simple doesn't work.
The authors fail to point out that in order to make jClientUpload work the installer needs to add various Java tools, libraries, Ant, and Tomcat. Configuring your system to support these tools brings a multitude of other requirements. To download and satisfy those requirements and tailor my system accordingly took 14 hours.
The net result is I can now upload files to my webserver using a little applet box in my browser ...
Big deal.
I downloaded and installed 3 other apps which didn't require any messing during that time.
Don't bother.
