great software, May 6, 2005 Reviewed By: ortezka12

The webjobs software is the best job site script I have seen - and I saw all of them ranging from $100-$5000! This is definetly the best bang for the buck, and the web scribble team has always been prompt and helpful.

The worst project of my careers, Nov 21, 2005 Reviewed By: bracket_p_bracket

I've never encountered code so poorly written in my life. The claimed funtionality is great, but don't be fooled. You can't modify the forms to gather the data you want, only re-order the placement of the input boxes in their pre-formatted templates. All the formatting is encoded so you can't get to the root of it. There's no develper documentation and the web scribble guys are of no help. Don't even think about using a payment processor other than those that have plug-ins. It's all encoded
OWNER'S RESPONSE:
The software has over 20,000 lines of code and over 200 PHP files. Two of those files are encoded which amounts to less than 1,000 lines of encrypted code used to protect against software piracy. This person's claim that it is all encrypted is aboslutely false, and shows that they only looked at a few files and gave up after that. We have many clients who have customized the site and added signicant new features, all of which can be seen on our websit

Customer service is great, Dec 21, 2005 Reviewed By: kjid_2312

The customer service is excellent and the software has all the bells and whistles that you can think of. The support has been excellent and has gone out of their way on numerous occasions to help me correct problesm that I was having as a result of some template modifications that I made to the site. These guys are what customers service is all about. I couldn't be happier with my purchase!

Amazingly Bad Customer Service, Jun 8, 2006 Reviewed By: xsimple

Found a discount link on their site to buy webjobs at $169. Made a purchase, but got nothing for 24 hours. I emailed them and they told me they'd made an error and the offer wasn't valid - so I'd have to pay $199. Needless to say, I wasn't about to pay for their incompetence so I cancelled the order and they lost a $169 sale. If this is their customer service before you've paid, I shudder to think what they'd be like once they've got your money. Arguing over just $30. Very Poor Performance!
OWNER'S RESPONSE:
This customer's claim is highly biased and distorted. The customer made a purchase, and we contacted him immediately (within 10 minutes) by email notifying him that the purchase he made was invalid. The email bounced, and we called him 8 hours later. This customer found a link to a product in our shopping cart that we NEVER link to anywhere on our site. This was a discounted price for the software that we offered to customers who purchased multiple copies, not to first time buyers.

A very disappointing $200 investment, Jun 28, 2006 Reviewed By: jdiver96

The software itself seems full-featured, but the Zend Optimizer requirement is a drawback, passwords are stored unencrypted in the db, the code is not intuitive to change, and there exists a number of bugs particularly on the admin side. Customer service has been very poor. It took 4 days just to get the software sent to me, and that was with me having to email repeatedly. An open support ticket went unreplied to for a week. Unfortunately I can not recommend this software or this company.

These guys did a great job with the software. It's very well thought out, and really simple to use. I had my designer customize the site, and it turned out great. I can modify and administrate everything through their admin area, and if theres any problem, their staff was very fast and helpful. Overall I thought the software was easy to install, and was great for a tight deadline. Five stars!

i have nothing but praise for webscribble and their product. they were able to get it installed for me within a few hours after purchasing before a long holiday weekend. i ran into a few snags, but they were able to help me out really quickly, and my site is really starting to take off. i compared them against softwares that cost 3 times more, and am glad and suprised i got such a good value for my money. i would recommend webjobs to anyone who wants to start a job board.

Here are a couple of observations. The install was done by their "technical support team". -When trying to log into the installed site, the log in button errored out since it was pointing to a non existant folder -The USERNAME is CaSEsenSitivE therefore John JOHN JoHN JohN are different users; to them, this is a feature not a bug -Users can not log in using email address -When an employer adds a job to the system, the text is horribly distorted - ticket has been open for a week.

Run don't walk from this product and company, Jun 9, 2008 Reviewed By: eitheror

Good lord what an exercise in futility. Maybe at some earliest version the program and all its features actually worked, but no longer (v2.xxx). An abomination of code (dreadfully slow as well) and CSS that in addition to spending hundreds of dollars to purchase for naught, will have you spending hundreds of hours to try to get working if you're lucky to get it "all" working at all. Do the research and check the discussion boards! "Crap" and "junk" are valid adjectives mentioned.

The company (Webscribble) has begun responding to the problems I've been experiencing with this program and fixing this and that. So far so good, not finished, but moving in the right direction. Their programmers seem to be on the case now and with an understanding of the issues I've been reporting.
