   phpLedMailer   Hits: 6046

phpLedMailer is a simple, cool, easy-to-use single mailing list application -- that is, each install of it supports one mailing list. This application is very useful if you want to maintain a mailing list for your site, without having to deal with all kinds of nasty setup and complicated administration tasks. One of the nice feature of phpLedMailer is that you can maintain a list of any size. Unlike other mailing lists, sends are done in batches, but are complete at your command. You watch the send execute, complete with a nice progress bar to know how much is done and what is left. New to version 1.8: You can also consume the phpLedMailer subscriber lists from as a web service (SOAP)! Now fully supports FireFox!

Review Of: phpLedMailer in PHP :: Mailing List Managers
After so many months of using mail lists from here there and everywhere, I stumbled on phpLedMailer, what a relief to find a mailer that actually works. It has a good interface, is installed in no time and the best part is that it pauses after the desired batch of mails you select to send, this is great for people who have SMTP servers which will only let a certain amount of addresses be sent at any one time. (Like mine) I only have 100 or so people on my mail list, but most have signed up since I installed phpLedMailer, thus showing me that its also easy for the subscriber as well as the owner. The only problem I have had with it so far is that if someone’s mail account no longer exists, the SMTP server will return errors with a pop up box saying “Data not accepted” It would be cool to have the script show you which account is not working. Anyway, I give this script 100% even with the error boxes popping up every now and then! Well done to the developers and now I’m off to upgrade to 1.8. Incidentally, it even tells you if there’s an upgrade.
