I looked around for a classifieds software for months, and finally found WebClassifieds. It turned out to be exactly what I was looking for in a classifieds software package. The software had virtually no problems (most were caused by me, woops!), and whenever there was a problem support got back to me extremely quickly. I even got answers back on a Saturday! Highly recommended.

The support team at Web Scribble is absolutely amazing! My questions never went unanswered for longer than a day, and usually were answered within an hour. The software runs absolutely great. I had to convert from a different software package, and Web Scribble helped with the import. I'm now running with over 30,000 ads and everything is running smoothly!

Very easy to use. Customizing the colors and layout was a simple with their editor. I really loved how their software supports multiple categories and unlimited subcategories. Support was always helpful and got back to all my emails within a day at the most.

This listing shows Web Classifieds as being suitable for use on a Windows server - take my advice - don't even try !
After 5 days building up various server configurations at Web Classified's suggestion we still could not get even the installer to run properly. Their tech support was hopeless and despite what they say on their site, they could not install it successfully either. A $2000 bad experience!! And they adamantly refuse to refund my money too. Steer well clear.

| OWNER'S RESPONSE: |
The client was running the software on a Windows IIS web server. This server is not support by our software, and this was stated clearly (in bold writing) in our System Requirements. The software cost is $199, not $2,000, and we never received a request for a refund.
The client later switched to a hosting environment that met our server requirements, and everything now works as advertised.

So I bought this software because it looked pretty user friendly. Here are the pro's
1.Pretty interface (pretty vs. functional different story)
2. Not theat expensive
3.Free "installation"
Cons
1. INterface is slllllooow and buggy
2. HTML editor is messy
3. Technical support is limited to e-mail and even then you get vague responses.
4. SLLLOOOWW script.
I will update my review as I move along with my new project. Perhaps the software will prove to be better.

The WebScribble team's support has been great in the few months that I have owned the software. Their response times have been fast, polite, and helpful. They have corrected so many mistakes I made, I've stopped counting. I was looking for a solution that not only provided a good amount of features, but most importantly support that would be there to help me when I needed it. I also beta tested and ran their newer 1 .1 versio, and I absolutely love how my site runs and looks now!

I bought this software after looking around at a few options. I was a little concerned at the lack of references to live sites, but liked the admin GUI. Since yesterday I still haven't been able to install it. The install process is cumbersome and the license key I was given didn't work and the file I was asked to delete to re-run the install doesn't exist ! The support are rubbish and their int. support no is is disconnected. Oh and it's twice as expensive as their competitors. STEER CLEAR

The customer had not setup a license properly on our web site. Four hours after he sent us his initially e-mail he began to complain that he was not getting support when in reality we simply didn't have a chance to respond. Instead of patiently waiting for support, the customer unfortunately decided to post this negative review. His issue was corrected approximately 7 hours after he submitted the initially support request. This complaint is simply an unfortunate case of an impatient customer.
