Not Bad - Must create a mySQL database, Mar 30, 2008

Web Calendar in PHP :: Calendars

This calendar requires a mySQL. I had to create the database myself. It allows some pseudo HTML code which if entered wrong on an event entry may make the rest of your events disappear. I used a <b> and closed it with a </> instead of a </b>, all gone but came back when I fixed the event with the correct syntax. Might pose a problem with an end user not familiar. It suffers from the same double click activate that is all too familiar with Flash and IE. Looks great and is sizeable. Expensive.

The calendar comes with installation script which creates MySQL tables but of course you need to create database and login details for it yourself, there is no other way unless you ask us for free installation help! Like any other valid HTML document that you create you need to use valid HTML code with calendar events too if you want to add rich content. And lastly, the double click can be fixed using a free function that we provide - this is an IE issue and has nothing to do with our script.

The Web Calendar is awesome and very easy to setup/use. It is by far the best calendar interface I've used. For those who do not need or want the complexity of a calendaring program with tons of options that you never use, this is a great alternative. In addition, the support is quick and helpful. I would highly recommend others to give Web Calendar a try.

Although I have very little knowledge of PHP and MySQL I found Web Calendar easy to use, simple to install and highly customizable. It's very versatile and well thought out. Changing the colour and size settings so that the calendar blended in with the rest of my website was really straightforward and I'm very pleased with the final result. I also like the idea of a oneoff payment, at what I would say is a very reasonable price. If there is one calendar you need for your site, this is the one.

The Easy PHP Calendar is well-supported through the user forums. Take time to view the online demonstration, and see that the Easy PHP Calendar is the PHP calendar script.
