We have previously used a competitive commercial Directory Script and were very impressed with the product that Dave has built. We have had Dave customize the application for us and it is not only faster and more robust, but it is much easier dealing with Dave than the commercial system. And very few bugs, although we were the first commercial site using the code.
We are so impressed with the system that we are in the process of installing 50+ copies of the system.

I do not write a lot of reviews but this download (of course, the best ones are free, as with this one) is one of the best I have used.
The SMARTY TEMPLATE framework is written with language localization. It is customizable but you should do a few test installations to get the customization options locked down before you go live.
If there is one 'con' to the software app it is hard to customize. This .TPL driven framework makes standard HTML editors like DreamWeaver useless. A great app!

I tried bunches of scripts and there is nothing like this one. I love it for these ..
Pros:
1) powerful
2) easily localize content in many languages.
3) Very active forum and the develop seems to have answered to every question out there.
4) I find it very fast also.
5) FREE and this, it's unreal! You have to try it.
