WebScribble has a few decent scripts, but their support is horrible.
Submit a ticket and pray for an answer.
Usually, the response you get from the tech support person is way off base and you end up solving the issue yourself.
Let's not forget that the software "phone's home" in order to work properly -- so if they ever go out of business or servers go down... so do you!
I was told many people use WebNetwork, when I asked for samples from their customers they refused. Not a good sign.

This review is not true. We've worked closely with all of our customers, and have been able to work out any concerns. It sounds like this was posted intentionally by one of our competitors. We take support very seriously, and pride ourselves in response to tickets in 24 hours (usually much much faster), and our responses are always relevant or resolve the issue. Our support staff is comprised of PHP programmers with years of experience. webNetwork does not home phone nor rely on our servers.

I've tried a bunch of different social network scripts over the past year and finally came across this one. Although skeptical at first due to my horrible experiences with the previous two I purchased, I decided to bite the bullet and try it out. The software turned out to be a breeze to install, and Web Scribble helps me with a few changes that needed to be made to my site. I imported a database of 30,000 members and it runs perfect. Very happy with this purchase.

overall my experience with this company has been pleasant. i was in a pinch to get the site up for a client who needed it fast, and was able to order it and install it all within an hour or two. the support has been good too, and helped with a few snags i ran into. overall my client is happy with the features and i'm happy too :)

This a top notch script. Very well thought out overall, and looks great. I was looking for a site with all the bells and whistles of MySpace and this is the closest and most affordable software I found. The template system is great, and I was able to change the layout around to match my existing one. I like a lot of the cool features they have like the IM, which is awesome and could be sold as a product on it's own. Overall, I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend it.

I found webnetwork to be very reliable, scalable, and reasonably priced. I've purchased scripts before (not community scripts, but they are all similar in installing and using) and found this one to be very well documented, and easy to use. One of my biggest concerns was reliability, because I had to import 300,000 members from my other site. Luckily it went smoothly, and the software was able to handle it nicely.

This script has it all. I was amazed to find these even existed! I was looking to start a site for local musicians, and was able to get it up and running quickly. My members loved the site, and it's grown to over 2,000 members in just a month and a half! I'm thinking about expanding it to outside the local area due to it's success. I really like how the software flows, and even though I don't known much about computers (I was hesitant to start at first) I am able to administrative it.

I only want to inform all you people that this software isn't worth any penny of it.I have it installed in my domain http://www.clubs.gr and i still have opened tickets from December 2006, Multilanguage missings, many logical errors,for ex. We add images on our favourites but there isn't my favourites section to see!To much missings.Absolutely bad software.Also i had to login with another username on their support chat room to talk to them. Very bad support. No money back guarantee.

The lack of support for this product has become a joke at our company. Three weeks have passed, with numerous attempts on our part to get support, with no response, or ridiculous requests for user information that could have easily been found in the thread created in our support ticket. Our money would have been better spent elsewhere.

Get a piece of freeware, I expect poor documentation and a lot of leg work to get it working. When I PAY for software, and my system exceeds minimum system specs, and I cannot get it at least basically function right out of the box, I get PI**ED.
I have sunk a LOT of money and time into getting this to basically RUN. If you like buying a new car but you still have to do an overhaul to get it to even start, buy this! Too bad it looks to pretty...

This script gave us headaches for development right from the beginning. It has tons of scripting errors, missing pages, missing php files, non-function or improperly functioning features and a terrible layout and design.
We spent so much time trying to work with this script we lowered the bar so low, we eventually decided to trash it.
Webscribble refuses refunds and provides no solutions and minimal support. I would not recommend this script or this company.

If you like scripts that work right out of the box, then this script is NOT for you. It comes with many formatting problems and errors. We wasted a lot of time on fixing bugs and trying to make it look more visually pleasing to NO avail.
The only thing worse than the poorly functioning script is the support you get with it. If you are a developer this script will cost you time and money. You shouldn't have to spend a month or more to get a script to function properly.

I'm very surprised to see these 'positive' review and I suspect the authors of the scripts to write them, because this script is really BAD. Unfinished, with lot of incompatibilities, no support, security issues. Lot of free scripts are doing better and are better tested... no full access to the source code, and no support, stay away or good luck.
