The author notes "This script was written because we found there was a lack of powerful, reliable and easy to use free mailing list scripts available on the Web. We needed a script secure enough and reliable enough to manage our lists of over 200,000 subscribers, that wasn't complicated to set up and manage." Main features include: Tested on more than 100,000 addresses, Messages sent via CGI script, No process time outs, Fully secured and protected lists, Manage multiple lists, Full email validation checks, Simple and Advanced modes, Archive messages, Back up and restore data.

The no-nonsense alternative, MLM might just be the finest mailing list script, Dec 31, 2002

MultiList Manager in PHP :: Mailing List Managers

MultiList Manager is probably the smallest mailing list script available. It's also VERY easy to setup - don't be disappointed if you manage to get MLM up and running in less than 3 minutes.
Most of us have (love) to customize our scripts, and MLM is really easy to do so. Just edit the few text files and you're done.
The interface has been stripped to to its bare essentials, making it fast to load and even faster to use.
If you're tired of dinosaurs such as mailman, if you've downloaded, tested and deleted several mailing list scripts already, give MLM a try. You won't regret it.
Trust me on this. I'm very picky with the code I chose. I cursed myself through atleast 5 alternatives before I found about MLM. Others were too restrictive, too big or too demanding. Don't get lured by other packages' promises about all the features they got; you won't need them anyways.

MultiList Manager in PHP :: Mailing List Managers

MultiList Manager was just what I was seeking for my clients:
Multiple mailing lists. Send plain text or HTML e-mails. Ability to archive sent messages. Import & export e-mail lists. Very simple subscribe form with easy web page template integration. Unsubscribing is done via link at the bottom of the e-mails that are sent. Administration is very easy and quick.
A couple of things needed hacking, but it was east to fix them. The admin.php file needed some stripslashes() on the variables in the "ADD LIST - FINAL" routine. Also, my Verizon e-mail service does not accept e-mails when the From: field and the hidden From header do not match, so to make the e-mails more universally accepted, I had to change a line in the mail.cgi script to include the "-f" option, too: "...open(MAIL, "|$INPUT{'mail_prog'} -f $INPUT{'from'} -t")...."
