I purchased this script, and had a lot of problems. Easysearchdirectory support is next to nothing. They are unwilling to give support, do not anwser emails and when they do, their arrogant stance leaves you empty handed. The script is heavily codelocked, so fixing it yourself is impossible. I might as well have thrown my money on the street for this worthless piece of crap!!!

I purchased EasySearchDirectory to replace my old-fashioned directory site 1 week ago, and then I got difficulties in setting up the mysql database. I then contacted the support team, and their response was really nice! Ignatius of EasySearchDirectory Team helped me with the install quickly and in just 3 hours everything was working fine! I recently purchased this script and from the instructions on their website it appears easy to set up. After a few attempts I contacted their support, who installed it for me, however it didn't totally work. Seemed to be missing tables in the database. I contacted them almost a week ago again, but not getting any reply. I have tried to reinstall the entire script, but now my unlock code will no longer work. Hopefully I hear back soon or I will be very disappointed. I will post the outcome.

Hello, I am glad that finally we both (you and our team) have sorted your problem out. As you can see the problem is on your web host (they did not have their mysql database installed well). Okay, please make sure that you will let us know again if you have problems. Certainly, there are many webservers in the world, and it is common if some customers got a wrong webserver (which are not installed well).

On installing, this script produced php errors in the encrypted code. We contacted support, but slow responses (1-3 days), and not helpful! I asked for possible causes/resolutions, all we got is that the “server is wrongly configured,” and pushing to use their hosting provider, but never anything helpful in getting the script to work. After @10 days, we gave up, asked for a refund, but was refused without any reason for the scripts failure. He took the money and refused to support the product.

Hello customer, I am glad that finally you see the problem is not with our scripts. You will need to make sure that you upload the php files as text files. That's why I always recommend you to use CuteFTP for all upload needs. So please make sure to contact us again if you find any other problems.

I don't like to leave bad reviews for a product but I am getting no where fast with support for this product. Easysearchdirectory was purchased and installed however the hosting company does not like using 'localhost' for emails which by default easysearchdirectory uses (many hosts also have this restriction) Should be a simple case of changing a couple of files. Have been trying to sort this out for a week and have requested a support telephone number but as of yet still not working...

In the end had to change hosting company (more expense) because the developer of this script offered such bad support. I don't think they know how the product works themselves to be honest. The smallest change request becomes a nightmare. This is the worst level of support I have ever encountered from a software developer. Take no notice of the pre-requisites, seems like you have to go with a hosting company they recommend otherwise you will run into problems. Good script, very bad support!!!!
