ASP FileMan

FileMan is a web based storage and file management solution for intra- and internet, running on Microsoft IIS webservers and written in 100% ASP. I have looked at a lot of file managers for my sites, most of which come at a price and do not have all the features I need. As an administrator of several websites, Fileman has been all I need in Website management. Also setup for my users with minimal rights, the options that the Administrator can select and deselect make this script one of the most versitile on the web. I would like to personally thank the developer who has worked with me in setting this script up and integrating it into my web site. My rating of excellent should be an indication of how good this script is. And the best part is it is FREE.

We've been happy with Fileman so far, it does what we need it to do and it's easy to set up and administer. Adding users is easy. You can assign them each an indivual folder (automatically created) as well as one or more shared folders which can be assigned to an entire group. Support has been fantastic, questions have been answered very quickly by the author and he has even modified the program with features that I had requested.

Especially for people who want to share data from their home from and to their office and are behind nifty firewalls. When checking the website, also visit ListPics if you have loads of pics to share with others. Easy way of installing and running, free for limited users and the price for more users is good. Be aware of installing .ASPnet during inst. of IIS. This might interfere with installation of Fileman. Responsetimes for support (also free use) is really fast, good answers.
