Implementing drag and drop functionality is not as simple as one would think. Besides having to do a boundary check on all the draggable layers, you also have to make sure that the right layer is selected when overlapping occurs. By combining a subset of my DHTML API with my mouse events script, I created this minimalist drag and drop HTML sample.

A calculator script is a must for numeric input fields of financial web sites. The script will show a calculator icon next to such fields. Clicking the icon will show a simple keypad attached to the input field. The input field itself serves as the calculator display. No popup windows are used for the effect.

The script allows creating DHTML menus with several levels of nestings. To create a menu, write an array of titles & URLs and pass it to a JavaScript function. The appearance is controlled by Style Sheets, so you can easily change colors, dimensions, background images, etc. Top level elements are purely HTML (anchor tags with id attributes), so that the site can be browsed by the users with JavaScript disabled and so that its structure is transparent for search engines. DHTML Menu Builder is an online tool for creating multi-level DHTML menus. Top-level elements of your menu will be purely HTML, so that the site can be browsed by the users with JavaScript disabled and so that its structure is transparent for search engines. You can save project in a cookie and continue editing later. Samples are available.

Launches a frameless (containerless) "go-behind" popup banner window that cannot be closed unless the banner ad is clicked on. (A no-right-click feature is included in the popup.) The frameless banner window persists, even if the launching browser window is closed. The banner window closes once the banner is clicked.

Unlike JavaScript dropdown menus, this script can be used to dropdown any HTML block. For example, you can use it to create dropdown search forms or hint boxes. You can use the script to create dropdown menus as well. The script is very easy to edit and to use. All you need is to add id attributes to HTML elements and write one line of JavaScript code. This script adds (correct) auto-complete/type-ahead/ tracing/find-as-you-type effect to dropdown menus in Internet Explorer and other browsers. In IE, when user press "MA" in a dropdown menu, IE will first select the first option starting with "M", then select the first option starting with "A", giving user "AK" while user actually wanted "MA" for Massachusetts. Using this script, user will get MA if M and A are consecutively typed (if user type M, then A after some (customizable) time, user will still be taken to AK as an intended behavior.). It also allows you to use user-typed value to populate other menus. Currently all printable characters on keyboard and keypad are supported (except for those needing the "shift" key). Version 1.1 is cross-browser and fixes issues in Firefox and Chrome too.

If your web page can contain several overlapping absolutely-positioned HTML DIV tags, you might need to bring one to front or send one to back. This javascript snippet does exactly that. Especially useful if you have web page dynamic menus using such DIVs - the navigation will not be obscured anymore.

Save yourself all the trouble of building those "back to top" links all over your page and have a floating version instead. When your page is scrolled down the link appears and it's always at the bottom of the browser window and always links to the top of your page. When your page is at the top, the link disappears until the page is scrolled again. This great script lets your visitors easily input a date/time into a form field, by selecting it from a popup window. Supports output dates in various formats such as: dd/MM/yyyy, dd/MMM/yyyy, MM/dd/yyyy etc.

WebPage Redirection is a simple JavaScript generator generate a script that redirects a web page to a different page. The script is useful if you want to redirect visitors from an old domain to a new one.

Generate a hex colour fade array from any 2 hex colours and your chosen number of increments (steps). Creates an array of the colours between the ones you chose. Can be used as an aid with my other script FallT.

A code generator which creates customized cut-and-paste JavaScript drop-down jump menus. Customizations include the menu's background color, text color, width (in pixels or percentage), number of options, and which option to select by default.
