setup cloud with low cost

I'm newbie in cloud computing such as VMware. Would like to seek for advise on virtualization platform setup with low cost.?
Note: I would prefer home based setup which i guess it's cut cost more.

Ok what exactly are you wanting to do from home? If you want to set up cloud at low cost, then just forget about VMware; it is not a cheap option. Better way go with Hyper-V based cloud computing platform. Hyper-V is a part of the Windows server 2008 data center edition. You can also consider Xen cloud platform; it is an open source solution.

GoGrid cloud hosting allows you to build scalable cloud infrastructure in multiple data centers using dedicated and cloud servers, elastic F5 hardware load balancing, and cloud storage with total control through automation and self-service.

All - Thanks a lot for the suggestion given.
Would like your advice, how should I start with the network design virtual platform?
