Text bar JavaScript... Please help me find it! (Newb)

Hi guys,

I'm new here so excuse my ignorance. I'm looking for a JavaScript that would set a text bar at the bottom of the browser window. I have a blog website and I want that text bar to include the following text "This website doesn't require registration for commenting" I want its position to be absolute and not affected by page scrolling. Am I making any sense?

Sorry but it's kind of hard for me to explain since I don't know the terminology!!

Do you mean that it doesn't move when the user scrolls so it seems "fixed" at a part of the screen? If so, it can be done. I don't remember exactly how but try searching hotscripts.com or javascripts.com for a fixed messagebox or somehting... should already exist a few of them

no i actually want one that moves with the screen, so the message can be read at all times... i will search for a messagebox and look for one that matches the features i'm looking for.

Um, that's what I meant by "'fixed' at a part of the screen" lol
It wouldn't be fixed since it keeps moving when you scroll but to the visitor it will look like it is stuck at the same place on the screen.
