Depends on how it's done. If you create a decent landing page on a good domain with a fair amount of quality and unique content then you should be in good shape.

i would say landing page is the heart and soul of your SEO. the content on the page should be well organized and also onpage SEO must good score.otherwise user would not spend time on your page and the bounce rate of your website would increase, which is not good.

IMO landing pages can increase the money and promoting websites. So i think its very useful for seo.

SEO drives traffic to your site, while the landing pages try to convert the traffic into sales. You need both, if you want to be successful.
