ASP SiteSearch provides search engine capabilities to website. Developed to easily mold into any web design, you have many capabilities/choices in setting up the application on your site: - Filter for file extensions that you want searched - Exclude directories from being searched - Define number of results per page - Show/hide URL of page in search results - Search meta tags (or not) - Optionally use graphical paging buttons text links. Here are more specifics: ASP SiteSearch is for static pages; web pages that don't already have database interaction. It will not work in conjunction with other ASP code that communicates with a database. No database or data connection is used. This tool searches your pages in realtime, therefore the performance of the search is affected by how many pages are being searched as well as the capabilities of the web server. ASP SiteSearch is not recommended for use on a budget web server, but you will not have performance problems if used on a good web host.
