If you really want to experience the worst support you should use this script, they are totally unprofessional, even if you get the paid support they will reply back after days with other requests, and solutions also they will always push things toward your hosting service, and your server administrator then you will figure out that they don't know what kind of error they are dealing with. Honestly it is an excellent script with great features, but with the worst support ever.

As a webhosting and website design company, we decided few years ago to 'dump' frustratingly buggy opensource shopping carts for commercial shopping carts that are well maintained and updated regularly and professionally. A thorough search led us to cubecart (opensourced and later commercial) which seem to meet the needs of our various clients at the time. A few years later, we had a client with more 'sophisticated' needs which became apparent to us that cubecart could not meet. A new search led us to CS-Cart. Now we've deployed CS-Cart for more than 18 months now and we were pleasantly surprised at this wonderful shopping cart. We wondered why we never discovered it much earlier. Our clients are very well satisfied with CS-Cart and we will be migrating our older clients to CS-Cart in the nearest possible future. We've been using CS-cart for about 6 months now, and although it's a solid shopping cart package, there are some issues. First, the latest upgrade (from 1.3.5 to 2.0.x) requires starting over- a complete re-install and set up of the site. A month after the release of version 2, there is no script/patch to migrate from older versions. The documentation of the features is also poorly done. Most of the features require at least a little experimentation to figure out how to implement them. We've still not been able to devine the purpose or use of a couple of the add-ons. Also, while customizing the templates I discovered a sneaky bit of code that embeds an image from the cs-cart.com servers everytime a store operator logs into their admin page. The cs-cart people go through quite a bit to conceal this little bit of tracking code, and have removed posts on the issue from their forums. Otherwise, their forums (due to their users) are great, and usually really helpful. You'll get a better response there than from the cs-cart support, as it seems their usual canned response is that they are for hire to do any sort of support work you need (e.g. ask them about an upgrade scirpt, and they'll reply that they haven't completed one yet, but for $$$, they'll make you one).

What a great cart system, Very well though has nearly everything from default. The support staff are amazing, Very quick reply via the help desk, Always great advice makes the programmers life very easy, Dont listen to the fool complaining about them being in Russia, It make no difference at all, They are very helpful and go above and beyond what expected. They send exact file and code location that needs to be edited.

CS-Cart has been a pleasure to use. It comes already stocked with many features that other "free" carts charge money for, has a cool Admin interface, works great on a shared server, and is fairly easy to re-skin using Smarty templates. This is the best cart with the best support and the best reliability. They offer great services as well such as an option to have them install the cart for you. Even without it installation is a breeze. Great product. It is getting me many great comments on my site. Sorry you feel that way colin. I had absolutely no problems at all. And you can access the forum, you just can't post until you buy.

Following the delay in getting a reply from CSCart I received a polite email explaining that none of my messages that had been sent through their online feedback form had been received. They have asked me to update my review to explain the situation which is fair enough. I have made a few other enquiries through the same form since so I now await further replies. I'm just worried that after buying the script a major problem occurs on my site and the same communication problem occurs.

I was on the look-out for a new shopping cart to replace X-Cart which I thought had the worst company response rate of all but after emailing this company 6 times about an installation error on a demo version I am still waiting for a reply- over 2 weeks later! One of the problems is that you don't have access to the help forum without first purchasing the software - hmmmmm! My advice to anyone about to purchase - don't. I think CScart guys write most of the good reviews. Will post any updates.

We have NEVER had to request support because something broke, or didn't work and our 1st store has been online for well over a year. Our contact with the TECHS has revolved around configuration setups and custom programming mods, these guys are prompt,courteous, and very good at what they do. Over my 4 years in ecommerce ive used XCart, CubeCart V3, Pinnacle, Avactis, Viart and now CS-Cart and i have to say that its the worst ive ever had to deal with. There are two problems: 1)Support are rude and arrogant and they have the attitude of 'if you dont like it then go elsewhere'. 2) It is so incredibly slow to run because of the amount of external files called that on a 56K connection it takes around 2 minutes to load. Avoid it like the plague and go with Viart!

After 6 months of using the software CS-Cart support have closed my account and refuse to continue to allow me to access future releases. It clearly says on the website "Free access to future releases". This was following an argument with their support techs. The software isnt bad although it takes a very long time to load with an average of over 3 minutes on a 56K connection. The templates look good but are full of tables and do not validate. Avoid if possible and go with CubeCart!

If you know as little about php and mysql as I do, you will appreciate the help available from the CS-Cart help desk. We use only a fraction of the product's potential, but we list many items that require a lot of additional images. They got difficult to manage so I asked the company how I might bulk upload them. Both x-cart and cs-cart domains are registered by DomainsByProxy.com and no ownership info is provided. Same server, almost identical info. Would you trust someone who won't even put their name on it. Wouldn't surprise me if these are the same guys who built Search Engine Pro which is a ripoff. Non-existent support, no refund and the same kind of glowing reviews you find here.

I’ve been in e-commerce sine 1997. That’s 10 years, and I’ve operated some mega sites, and used MANY s/cart systems. CS-CART is the by far the best. It does all the basics really well and has some very handy features built in. Although we did need a few special custom mods for our own particular needs, we find that everything else is VERY customisable. We have complete control over the look & feel. The service of the support people is excellent. They seem to actually CARE which is terrific.

Recently moved from CubeCart to CS-CART and im so glad i did. Its altogether more powerfull and more secure than any other cart ive tried. Their support is excellent and they have a fantastic user guide which all the other carts lack. It might be expensive but its worth every penny. My only complaint is that it uses smarty templates which are hard to master but all in all its the best cart ive ever used.

You can change language, skins, products, categories, tax, shipping info etc. on the fly (I'm italian) and have your web store in few days. Really Amazing! I never review anything, but I had to for this great software. This is the best kept secret in PHP/MySQL eCommerce. I've used nearly every cart out there and could never find any that worked to my liking. After looking long and hard I found CS-Cart, and I so gland I did. This software is beautiful, the store administration is the best I have seen, its UI is so nice it's actual a pleasure to use. Well designed, well thought out and very professional. At its price it's a steal.

this cart is definatley worth the money. its low price and you can be up and running right out of the box, just enter your products and your selling. the customer support is excellent. I have used more expensive carts and they were nightmares. this one will blow you away.

I can code but don't want to waste time coding because the default cart is far too ugly or having to code features from scratch. cs-cart had all kinds of product options, and I could swap products pics (choose 'red', pic turns from 'blue shirt' to red. Support is in Russia, but I was up one evening and sent them a message of what I was trying to do, and then the next morning, it was done, they coded it for me! :). So, I think in the end, you'll save a lot more time with cs-cart, even from Russia.

I am a senior project manager of internet applications in a software company. Normally, I don’t review many products, but I felt compelled to review CS-CART. The software is complex in its features (as any other shopping cart system in the market), but at the same time incredibly easy to use. From my experience, this proves that CS-CART was well thought out. Do a little research here and you will find what some are saying is true. Compare the two sites for x-cart.com and cs-cart.com. They are the same sites with a different look. They both provide suipport the same way, the contact forms are the same. It doesn't take a genius. I have tried both x-cart and unfortunatly bought cs-cart as well. The support is the same and its the reason why I left x-cart in the first place. The difference in hours makes getting a response while I am awake impossible.

We have gone through 4 to 5 other cart ststems over the years and really they just get you buy with a little here and there. CS-CART is truely the only one I have used that works. If you want top ranking on search engines, this will do it, I promise you that this software will give you high rankings. The support is unbelievable. It is worth it. I can only say this. I looked at the free carts and all the other carts hotscripts had to offer. But the only cart I saw which just looks right is CS-Cart. I was a little concered about the support but I haven't been disapointed, sure support is by help desk email but the service is still good. As far as being Russian, I find them to be excellent programmers. Having worked for a major world renouned university who farm out a lot of work to Russian programmers I have no reservations. Great product, very happy!

I would never in my right mind pay for a cart, especially with Zen-Cart and CreLoaded being free. But something about this cart's beauty and robustness at such a young age convinced me to buy it. I can't believe the progress the CS-Cart coders have made in the short time I've been with them. I've tried many carts, pay and free. Next to the loads of great features that Zen-Cart has, this cart takes the paycart cake. And No This cart looks nothing like that overpriced garbage X-Cart.

CMS integration very useful as is one-click bulk add/update of products, etc. Have found developers very professional & responsive to changes/customization & pricing for services & software is superb value! I've been using CS-Cart for about a year now, and I must say the core product is very high quality and works as they say it does. In addition I have used them for several very large, difficult web development projects and they have far exceeded my expectations. Support has never been a problem for me with CS-cart, they're easy to contact and respond quickly to problems. Don't let the low price fool you into thinking this is a cheap product. Despite the other reviews, I beg to differ. This cart is cheaply priced, BUT you pay for what you get. Which is only the software. I basically wasted my time trying to get support when I could have gone else where and been up and running in half the time. 24-hours to respond is not fast enough for me. I need results and answers ASAP, not playing the wait game for questions to be answered. If you're willing to burn your time and money, then this cart is for you! 2 thumbs down for this one.

If you want an awesome product, full technical support, quick response time, all at a low price, then this is the PHP cart for you! Sure they're in Russia. Beyond the time difference, I wouldn't have guessed. During the week, they have never taken longer than 24 hrs for tech support. They have a built in help desk that actually works--and they actually take your concerns seriously. Once they have made the sale, they STILL REMAIN CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR SATISFACTION! Yep, you guessed it. Although they dont want you to know it. This little number is brought to you by the makers of X-Cart. So, as you can imagine, you still wont get phone support and getting decent support at all is still a problem. I thought I would try something new and although it may be a little better as far as functuionality and ease of use, its still just another product with the developers in Russia who you cant contact. I have done my research so I know its true. Check for yourself.
