Bright side: 1.Easy to install. 2.Has some useful features like polls, faq, simple-to-install templates, blog, newsfeeds, etc. 3.There are plenty of add-ons available. Dark Side: 1. It is not so easy to manage as it is advertised. If you are not familiar with CMS packages, it may take some time and patience to learn something. 2. Available templates are not so attractive. 3. People in support forums can be very rude. You cannot get enough support for this software everytime you need.

Mambo is awesome. It has a very easy web-based administration that allows you to do anything with your site! You can customize Mambo any way you want, easily! Even if your a beginner! Mambo is Open Source and under the GPL license ... which means it's FREE! You can download tons of things to customize mambo like modules, components, 100s of free (professional looking) templates, multi-language support, and much much more. I've tried all the other CMSs, but nothing compares to Mambo. You can use mambo for a business or personal webpage. This is the best CMS out there!

Less experienced webmasters MAY be able to install and use mambo as a “stand alone” CMS, but customization, or running it with other (outside) software, plus it’s steep learning curve can turn into major problems. The few plug-ins available for mambo are mediocre at best, and because of it’s unusual core design, mambo is just not compatible with any other top quality components that are required to build a modern style community type web site. I also found many members of the mambo support forum rather picky, unsupportive, defensive, immature, even rude, and without business sense.
