  Great Script and Great Support

  I purchased PHP Pro Bid the end of June 2011 after being burned by a different and more expensive auction script company. Let me say that I couldn't be more happy with this script and especially the support I have received. Any problem or question I have had implementing this script have been dealt with very quickly. After having problems with my hosting provider the owner of PHP Pro Bid actually offered to host my site on his server for free. Of course I paid him for this service but have never been so impressed by any software vendor. I would recommend PHP Pro Bid and this company to anyone who is looking for an auction script. It has been well worth the purchase price.

  We purchased Probid's auction software in late 2010 and the pre-sales service with David was all there as well as the promise of good after-sales service. After purchase, the now-anonymous and inconsistent support service is at times super fast, yet other times we wait for days and weeks on end for a response with no explanation as to why - including on urgent tickets, which falls short of Probid’s own service delivery statements. The software itself has plenty of features on offer, however some key features have not delivered - despite Probid saying they worked… and then tried to fix them. To illustrate, an issue we had with bulk lister local images not uploading still remains unsolved because Probid said they exhausted all possible avenues and offered no alternative explanations of any kind. We then asked an independent IT support person to look into the problem; they said they couldn’t actually find any code which would attempt to retrieve the local images! Also it wasn’t clear where the local images should be stored (ie. on a user's PC or on the server). The manual lacks essential information and frustratingly, we’ve had to ask Probid to explain things that should be covered there - and then at times waited far too long for an answer! We are launching a new business (very delayed, thanks to the above) and naturally we are eager to see ROI and maximise opportunities. If you are considering purchasing Probid’s software, beware - we recommend you also find your own IT support as a backup. Perhaps customers should be paying Probid to get a more reliable software support service. Probid have said they have a lot of software pieces out there and we can only imagine how busy they are… then perhaps they could afford to hire more staff to provide a better, more consistent and professional software service delivery to ALL their customers.

  Best Auction Script Available with Excellent Support

  I purchased this software a few weeks ago now and would like to say how impressed I am with it. It comes with masses of features, many that can be enabled/disabled or customised, its easy to set up (novice myself) and its simple to personalise. But the reason I am taking the time to write this review is due to the customer service. I noticed last night I didnt have the bulklister software bundled with my software so emailed PhpProbid at 1am. At 1.15am I had a reply telling me where in there client area I could download this application and also offering to set it up for me. I mailed them back my ftp and admin settings along with custom graphics I wanted built in and by 3am they had customised and installed the software on my servers. Best customer service I have ever received on the internet.

  Jan 2011 :Just bought the script....and had problems installing it....the response was Excellent ..... keep it up guyz ! At this point had rated them 5/5 Feb 2011: As these guys to activate my account on the forum; for some strange reason they just donot acknowledge or answer my emails/tickets etc !!!.....its been 4 months since and i have long given up...funny thing is ....google this and you will find folks from 2005 who have exactly the same crib... May 2011: I dunno if I should say i am lucky or not (coz I one reason or another I havent started using their script yet)...but there are tickets and reminder emails fro clarifications/custom jobs that are almost a month old now.....no response....the explanation given 2 weeks ago was that there was a big queue....well what can one say...stranger things have happened.... Will fill you all in and share my experience as we go along....have revised my rating from a 5 to a 3

  This script has everything necessary to be called excellent: easy to purchase, easy to install, easy to use and easy to get support. What else could you ask for? This script is very well developed - lots of features, rich with flexibility, but not complication. And as we all know, a good script without good support can be worthless. The guys at PHP ProBid have given me FABULOUS support. QUestions are answered within a very short time period and each issue has been answered to my satisfaction. Thanks for a great product!
