  I've been using v1 on a website or two for ages, which works perfectly apart from a bug with a ' being converted to '\ when posting. I was hoping 2.1 would address that prob, and maybe it does, but when trying to install the scrip I get an error, and when searching on the developer's forum for answers I realise that support is non existent, and I won't be able to upgrade from v.1 to 2. anyway. I want software that makes me feel like I can stick with it for years... this won't be one of them.

  Nice script. Pity it won't work with Register Globals OFF. May recode it if I don't see anything else though.

  Tested on 3 different platforms. Nice guestbook but needs serious rework on the scripts due to errors. Will work better with ie 5.0 but if your running ie 6.0 and the latest in mysql your going to have errors.

  Really good script. I'm not so experienced with php yet but I found this script very easy to install. And customizing is also easy, only needed to edit the CSS file. This guestbook is now running on my website. Thank you!

  Decent enough program with basic functionality and fairly easy to modify with CSS and HTML and language templates. I did not like the fact that the initial record this program installed was a link to a porn site! Program also lacks email security for people posting their email addresses and I wish it had email notify and approval all within the same email. Good program, but I needed one with a bit more bells and whistles ...

  At first glance this guestbook looks to be good, but a little research reveals that the code is stolen from another script, which I cannot mention here. Stealing code and releasing it as ones own under the GNU Public Licence (GPL)!? -I can't support that, and neither should you!!! As for the tech part, this script can give headaches to get running, and it requires register_globals to be "on" according to the install guide, which is not an option for many users hosting their sites on webhotels.

  If you don't need some special stuff for your guestbook, phpBook is the guestbook script to choose. Easy to set up, several languages supported (and the language file can be translated into any language you need), works without problems. And it is free. Thumbs up for the people at netone.at.
