The script can be used to create image buttons that behave like standart buttons in a browser. If you move the mouse over the image button and press it, the image button will switch to pressed state. If you move the mouse in and out without releasing the mouse button, the image button will also follow the standard behavior. This behaviour is more difficult to implement than rollover effects, however it is much more natural.

I've writen this Javascript, because I didn't like the title atribute on the A tag (for example). It produces the same effect, a label below a link (or other object) on mouse over, but now you can show HTML.
DOM Tooltip allows developers to have dynamic and configurable tooltips on HTML pages. This library supports Mozilla/Netscape6+, IE 5+, Konqueror and Opera 7. The tooltips are configured through three class definitions in a stylesheet, and consist of two parts, the caption and the content. Tips can be either greasy, sticky or velcro, where sticky tips remain after mouseout of the object and require a click to close, velcro tips close when you mouse out of the tooltip and greasy close when you mouse out of the target that created it. The tooltips cannot even popup embedded windows onload.

TabThing is a JavaScript tab control similar to the tab control used by the Windows GUI. The tab control allows the user to select a tab which shows its own content in the frame below. PHP is used as the backend of the script and uses DOM to update the page so there is no need for a refresh.

A few good, and very usefull scripts for buttons. Move the mouse over the button and it changes color. Another changes inamge when the mouse moves over. Highly useful, easy to instal and edit, and well documented.
Save yourself all the trouble of building those "back to top" links all over your page and have a floating version instead. When your page is scrolled the link appears and it's always at the bottom of the browser window and always links to the top of your page. When your page is at the top, the link disappears until the page is scrolled again. You link can be text or graphics (or any HTML you like) **v1.6 Update** : script now modified to be much smaller there is now a version for strict DOCTYPES.
