When it comes to publishing on the internet, beginners and experts alike are met with a bothersome paradox: word processors and graphics applications allow anyone to do a pretty good job of managing text and images on a personal computer, but to make these available to the worldwide web – a seemingly similar environment of documents and destinations – ease of use vanishes behind sudden requirements for multilingual programming skills, proficiency in computer-based graphic design, and, ultimately, the patience of a saint.

ImpressCMS originally evolved from XOOPS after a number of developers decided another path would be more suited to them and that path we now think is an impressive one.
ImpressCMS is modular and totally customisable even by the total novice, if you do get stuck then just ask, because we're backed by a fantastic team of very talented developers all with strong programming roots and not to forget our community whom are the heart of what we do and also at hand to assist when required.
We are of course open source and free.
We're more than just a content management system, we're a whole framework to empower you in your hobby, business or corporate use. The only limit we have in what you can achieve is your imagination.
