Download Trakker logs information about an infinite number of files. It logs the following information: Name, IP, Browser, E-mail, Referrer, number of downloads, and the time/date. You can force a user to download via form, or just a direct link. The user recieves an email with an encrypted download link. With these emails you have the opportunity to send out emails to each person that has downloaded your file.
The file you specify will be 'forced' downloaded, meaning that if it is a .gif file, it will not simply open up in the browser, but the user's browser will show the file download dialog.

dl_stats lets you easily have a database of downloads on your website. dl_stats keeps you informed about how often your files are downloaded, when you changed them and so on. Everything is displayed on a single site with graphics. It tracks data and a history for your downloads. All phpBB CSS files can be used. RubberwaLL provides a free watertight anti-leech solution for your site.
All files sit in a password protected directory, which only the script itself has login permissions for. Upon receipt of a file request, the script checks the visitor has actually come from YOUR site, by examining the referer tag supplied by the browser. If they originate from your site, the script then logs on to the protected folder, and loads the requested file into server memory. It then feeds the file to the visitors browser directly, and completely transparently.
What does this mean? It is impossible for users to see the real address of your files (as only the php script is able to access them, users must download them VIA the script), and even if they did get hold of it - they would be unable to obtain any files without the username/pass. Therefore, it is near impossible for your files to be hotlinked by any website except yours.
All settings are written into an easy to read configuration file, which keeps the script blisteringly fast, and comes with a full readme.
For easy administration, every access grant or denial is logged in a special file.
**The initial errors in the 1.0 release have now been resolved - please download the fully working improved 1.0a version if you experienced issues with .htaccess**
