Web Platform Docs – Web Developer Documentation

The W3C, the international body that oversees open standards for the Web recently launched a web developer documentation project – ‘Web Platform Docs‘. Currently in an early alpha phase, this new project is presented in the form of a collaborative wiki.

The aim of Web Platform Docs is to become a comprehensive and authoritative source for web documentation by leveraging contributions from the community. As of right now, the site contains documentation for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SVG as well as topics including accessibility. Source code examples and very detailed notes accompany the attributes and elements of each language.

Web Platforms Docs is not the only reference site available. The Mozilla Developer Network, SitePoint’s References and Opera Developer Network are viable go-to places for reference and documentation on web technologies.
