Hey I used to do just web apps but I'm looking to get into vb but I really don't want to go buy window vb so does anyone know if there are any good free vb compilers out there, maybe even like a windows beta version or something.
i do not know of any... =[ there is a free version of microsoft visual basic, but you cannot compile with it.
i was in the same place you are in. i just broke down and bought it.
i think just for VB it is $99. My friend however got the whole VB Suite(C++, C, VB, and alot more tools) off of kazaa or some other p2p. i found mine on ebay for 50.
The full suite is 250 mb, i dont know if my servers could handle that :-/ i dont think there is a trial version, the free version is uncrackable because it doesnt allow you to put in a S/N or anything :'( wish i could help...
Might be able to help you, i am at work right now but you can email me at strykstaguy@gmail.com. I actually had gotten Sams teach yourself visual basic in 24 hours and it would not let me compile because ity was the free version. I found a crack for it. so i might be able to help ya out.
