  • The new release 2.5.0 has a brand new AJAX-ed Admin GUI created using jQuery, incl. positioning of blocks with Drag&Drop, which Admins will love it.

Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

  • Xoops is an amazing tool for webmasters. It has the ability to add tools to your site, such as calendars, guestbooks, forums, downloads, news and more, with just a click of a button. There are tons of templates for the Xoops script, so you can change the way your whole site looks in seconds, instead of having to change every single page manually [Like I have done for the past 4 years, d'oh!] As a webmiss myself, I would definately recommend Xoops to other webmasters. 10 out of 10!

  • I've tried several installations of Xoops and I really like a lot of things about it. But I have yet to figure out how to really customize the menus. I also could never totally disable user contributions unless I also disabled certain modules. For instance, the links module seems forever entertwined with user contributions. Much as I like the look of the templates and the overall functionality of Xoops, I simply can't recommend it to anyone who's not ready to just use it out-of-the-box.

  • This is the best CMS designed so far to date. The xoops commuity has done an excelent job, everything just works like it should.
