This one is a PHP, AJAX , MYSQL Autocomplete from Database. The AutoSuggest class adds a pulldown menu of suggested values to a text field. The user can either click directly on a suggestion to enter it into the field, or navigate the list using the up and down arrow keys, selecting a value using the enter key. The values for the suggestion list are to provided as XML, or as JSON (by a PHP script, or similar). The results of the first request are cached on the client machine and are filtered as the user continues to type, to reduce the number of requests hitting the server. This one uses a mysql data. I have given two examples in this to help u. One is autocomplete from static data and other is autocomplete from database. This Representational State Transfer (REST) Web service is made of three main parts: the login part, the xml part and the data part. Class Manager can be used to load classes based on classpath definitions read from XML files. Including the source files will be automatic, and transparent to the application. Classpath xml files can be used to specify paths from which given classes should be loaded. They can also specify source filename templates and lookup paths for automatic lookup. Given a properly nested HTML string it will parse and truncate the string to a specified length while stripping specified properties and tags. This allows you to black-list properties a user may enter to spoof interface elements, JavaScript, or CSS. The primary function is the truncation and ideally from a trusted source. If you need proper HTML validation get a more robust package. I was unable to find a simple solution for truncating arbitrary user text from a trusted source (a CMS back end) and this script was the result. If you make modifications which increase the functionality of this script please let me know. This is made for PHP 4.3 and up. It is a class set up with "fake private" functions (starting with underscores) so has a clean interface provided you respect it by not directly modifying or accessing the state....
