I have search for a quality Guestbook throughout the web and I finally found the one I that works! It give the guest a chance to leave you a private message, filter dirty words, updates you when a entry is entered or modified. The most simplistic and easy to configure Guest Book out there. I’ve searched for days, looking for the ultimate, yet free, Guest Book that I can provide to my visitors, in which I didn’t have to spend the same amount of time configuring. I also really wanted a guestbook that I didn’t have to connect to any slow databases. Well, I definitely found it with “KISGB”. The extreme multitude of advanced functions and features, which are truly simple to configure, really shows that Gaylen knew what webmasters really needed. At first, being an extreme novice when it came to anything script related, I had a little difficulties; however, Gaylen was very quick in responding to my questions and concerns with the most helpful advice. If you run into a problem, be assured, that it has already been posted on his support forum with very easy instructions on how to fix it. I really like the customizable interface. I was able to easily configure it to work with my site’s existing color scheme. The main selling point for me was the numerous contact information (ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, Ect… Ect.) for visitors to include with their post. I can now keep all of my friends information together in one place with an insurance that I can always find it online if need be. I also really like the option to include your Photo and the ability to include HTML tags within the message content itself. You can’t get all of the features packed into one bundle anywhere else. Trust me, I’ve looked. Gaylen is also very keen on providing really in next to no time current upgrade releases, which are so simple to implement. What more can I say? It has it all. Stop looking because I guarantee you’ve already found it with “KISGB”! It rocks!!!

Yep, it simply is the best one out there. I must have gone through about 70 different PHP guestbooks in the last two weeks, and this is by far the most exciting one. Attractive design, huge number of languages, variety of different themes, great admin functions, users can edit their messages (great feature-I couldn't find it anywhere else), tons of functions to tweak to adjust the guestbook to best fit your needs, input header text and image at the top of the guestbook, huge number of smileys, you can choose your country/flag, easy link back to your homepage, automatic email forwarding, and so on... Describing all of its features will take way to much time. But the best feature of all is the support I received from Gaylen Fraley. He answered all of the questions I had, he did it extremely promptly, I almost couldn't believe it! Thanks to him, my guestbook is up and running! To put it in simple words, if you are looking for a good guestbook, look no more-you found it!!! It's right here!

KISGB is extremely easy to install and manage with multiple configuration options. Right out of the box, it can be up and running in a matter of minutes. It uses a flat file for the entries which makes it really simple, just like the program name. One does not need to have an extensive programming background in order to configure the type of guest book one would desire. It can be configured hundreds of ways by selecting only the desired fields to be viewed. Users can be granted the rights to even edit their own entires for a period of time, add their picture, smileys, and the list goes on and on.... Some of the best things about KISGB is the menu selections for different languages, themes, the ability to build ones' own themes is quite remarkable, and the ability to preview the guest book entry before submitting it. I'm an absolute novice. This is my first site & therefore my first attempt at installing a guest book. I wanted one to blend in with the style of my site & I tried loads of different guest book scripts. Of course I had some problems getting it to work the way that I wanted it too, but the script's author, Gaylen, was astonishingly helpful & patient. I think the "Keep it Simple" part of the script's name must be meant to be ironic, as this guest book has all the advanced features you could wish for. Thanks to Gaylen for the script & the help.

I am extremely pleased with this program. It is very friendly to the front end user, offering the visitor a chance to be an indivual and express their feelings. The animated happy faces bring many favorable comments. The ability to change the themes is very well recieved. Automatic E-mail notification tells me what I want to know when a new guest signs in, and sends a nice thank you for stopping in to visit my guestbook. The admin section is an easy to use, but provides all the control that is needed to maintain the guest book. As if the KISGB needed more, all data is stored in a flat file - no database required!! In closing I would like to say that KISGB is simply the best free program that I have used.

After spending hours searching for a guest book I came across KISGB. I am very new to web page design and don't know a lot about it. I researched KISGB by reading the reviews and also looking at their website. After reading all the information I decided to attemtp to install KISGB on my website. Excellent choice I must say as I am glad I did. Not knowing much about computers or website building I had a few problems that Gaylen was extremely helpful in and within a few moments it was up and running. Gaylen went above and beyond the call of duty in helping me! Use this program!

A very simple guestbook. Just unpack everything to your webserver and browse to it. It will come up with a install script to help you. All the messages are stored in one file so you don't need sql. The KISGB was my first try with php and the author helped me by email to get my php environment working so there's a lot of support for it too. A very excellent guestbook with a lot of support.

Yes, KISGB is really easy to use. Keep It Simple, it is guestbook what a guestbook has to be. You can use it also as a kind of discussion forum. The administration function is also very easy to use. The user interface is very customable : themes, require fields, supressing fields, languages. What I like too that are the country flags. A nice option when you have International people signing the guestbook. The guestbook is developed with the hackers in mind, which are trying to corrupt it. So you can set the numer of carriage return allowed, maximum number of characters allowed etc. The developer is very sensitive for user requests, to make it even more perfect. What is missed, is that there is no registration option. So it is not suitable to use it as a private guestbook for e.g. you relatives. But I think when the developer reads this review he is building that in for the next release.
