Start Page
Start Page is a friendly web interface which lists your list of things to do, your favorite links, and any little messages that you've written to yourself. It is 100% updatable from the browser, and so it makes a handy start page - you are always reminded of your things to do, you have an alternative to bookmarks (helpful for those using multiple computers and browsers) and you have a free forum where you can just write in anything you need to remember.

This is probably the very first script I ever installed. I installed it on my first site about 4 years ago and have used it a TON of times since! This isn't a huge fancy CMS with multiple users, password protection, etc. etc. etc. But that isn't what I wanted at all. It is just a very fast, SUPER EASY TO INSTALL, easy to use home page! The number one thing I use this script for is to have fast access to my favorite webpages wherever I am. Also, I'll be at my brother's house and find a great website and want to remember where it is. I just jump to my site / directory where I have this script installed and add the webpage to my list of links. In about 10 seconds I'm done and can access the site later at home. I can "bookmark" this page 10 times faster than sending myself the link in an email, or writing it down on my Palm. I don't have to login, or scroll through 5 pages of config / settings / menus. Everything I need is on one quick and easy page! I also use the To-Do list and notepad just as often and for the same reasons. Give this script a try... Even a newbie like me could install this script in 2 minutes (most of the time just upload the files to your server and set permissions). The only thing I'd like is to see is: 1) It coded in PHP 2) An easy way to remove or hide modules that I don't use (like the contact list, etc.) Other than that it is just what I need... no less, and especially no more!
